Tip: throwing bodies on a camp fire creates a large fire.

Also, I wish there was more incentive to rob a train. Just not enough loot.

Is anyone else playing in first person mode? I'm really enjoying it although you bounce up and down on the horse like you're on a roller coaster so it might cause some motion sickness for some people.

I'm using the map on the companion app for the most part rather than the game because it's easy to zoom in and zoom out.

Basically, I'm going full nerd for this game.

Well, I fought that big hunter in the bar in Valentine like someone in here mentioned. I got that coon-skinned hat!! Love it! This game is crack. I'm fiending to go play but can't until after the kids go to bed tonight.

This game gives me motion sickness and I'm playing with the third person view. I can really only play for an hour or so at a time before I have to take a break. Maybe I'm getting old but I just finished Spider-man and didn't really get that feeling while playing it so I'm not sure what's up.

Plus, coming from Spider-man to this I spent my first few hours accidentally firing off random hip shots when I was trying to run.

Here and there. The game doesn't feel great to me in 1st person with the controller. Better than GTA V for sure, but still feels a bit clunky to me. To be fair, before this release I hadn't played a game on my PS4 in who knows how long and hadn't played a shooter on it in over a year at the very least.

There is an option in the settings that can lessen the head bobbing. Might make riding a horse more bearable for some. I don't know if that option affects on foot movement only or all camera bobbing in 1st person, but you could at least give a try.

My other biggest issue with 1st person is it feels like my horse does not go where I feel like it should be going at times when I turn my head and try to steer. In 3rd person I can swivel around in fights and what not and keep on a safe path. In 1st person it seems like I end up all over the place if I am not looking straight the entire time.

There have been a few games that have given me motion sickness in the past. I haven't gotten it with this one yet. I hope I don't. I also didn't get it with Spider-man. I have gotten it with the Far Cry games and a little with Uncharted.

I can’t do rockstar games in 3rd person. I feel it hurts the game overall.

I see they have acknowledged some PS4 performance issues and are working on fixes. I wish they would say something about this hdr situation.

Underweight. Camp stew everyday, cans of food on the road, sleep a lot. Underweight still.

I guess it's time to start eating all my hunting spoils rather than donating them to camp. Hard to convincingly pull my weight as a feather weight.

I went to eat some fried meals last night and I’m still underweight.

Do you think there could be a bug/glitch in the game that keeping you from gaining weight? I haven't gotten that far along in the game to notice this much.

More specifically, once you get a mission from John Marston, you're on track to get to the fishing rod. You have to do a couple missions with him (all of which are easy and short) and then you'll get a mission after that during which you unlock fishing.

I'm guessing someone else has stumbled upon this guy by now, but I was exploring the East Coast last night and came to a place called Van Horn Trading Post (I think) and walked into a saloon.

Inside the saloon, there was someone that I have to imagine was inspired by Sloth from The Goonies. I walked in and was like "what the **** is this?" and proceeded to get into a fistfight with him.

Some other stuff I stumbled upon (without giving too much away):

An old abandoned mansion on the water
Found a recipe for incendiary slugs
Found a couple deserted cottages to loot

Also canoed across the river/lake/ocean, whatever the big body of water on the east side of the map is, and stumbled upon some sort of land that already has a bounty on me. I didn't reveal enough of the area to find a name for the land yet. I would have checked it out some more, but I had a legendary pelt in tow and didn't want to risk dying (which I later did anyways lol)
