Red Dead Redemption 2
I have a Fence and definitley used him to get money back on items I've stolen.
I have not unlocked the Trapper though I hope to this weekend. Nearly 30 hours in, I think it's about time I play some more story missions and get to Chapter 3.
Does the Trapper have my legendary bear pelt? I carried that thing on my horse for like 15 hours before losing a gun fight with the O'Driscolls and losing it.
I hope so. I had some perfect pelts (Gray Wolf and White Tail Deer) we will find out this evening as we play a marathon session (after my ALCS game 7 o The Show 18).

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Game finally beat, the world's longest ending credits ever. Like those credits rolled on for a good 20 minutes it seemed. I found the story to be repetitive. I give the game a 8 out of 10. The last 15% of the game was good though far the story line. Story just had too many dips and drags.
SpoilerThe repetitive nature of the story line annoyed me. It was always the same. Set up camp, Dutch think he is smarter then the people in the nearby town. Get played and made a fool of by the people in the town he thought was idiots. Go on run, find new camp, repeat process. Dutch and his dumb ideas.
Near the end of the game, the game got good story wise. Then Arthur died and you spend some time shoveling crap, milking cows. I was thinking the entire time, what happened to the money Arthur gave Abagail ? Like he gave her a huge sack of money they stole off the Army supply train. I know a few years go by but good lord they spent all of it ??
That blonde lady turned out to be real bad ***. Didn't see that coming. She was a killing machine. When I got that telegram from her I was like what she is still alive ? A bounty hunter too. I thought whoa.....Glad Charles made it. Thought it was cool how John built that huge house for Abagail and Charles helped him build that and the barn. That is a true good friend right there.
Felt bad when Arthur died. I was hoping the Native Americans could heal him with some herb or something. Micah was highly annoying and I knew from the beginning he was up to no good. He was way too mouthy for somebody new to the gang. Couldn't believe took his side too. And at the end, I couldn't believe was still with him at the top of that snowy mountain.
When they found the Blackwater stash, I was like holy crap. That was a ton of money left behind. Must have robbed a million dollars. But anyway, IMO they had enough money to leave, Dutch was just overly greedy. In the cave it was 43K. Also how much damn money did Straus lend out ? I wanted to shoot Dutch so bad.....I was like dude, you got half of us killed and you walking around in a black fur coat on at the end, Micah with a leather coat. Man......that pissed me off.
Far as the camp thing, I wish people pulled their weight much better. Like I was the bread winner here. Brought in the most money, food, everything. Everybody else bringing in $3, 50 cents, a nickel. I was like come on....Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Has anyone actually read some of the books?
They aren't long. Like two pages stories.
One of them in the camp is a crime novel. Or so it says. It's a really weird and disturbing piece of literature involving a solo sexual action.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
If there is DLC, I wouldn't mind seeing Javier and Bill in the aftermath of everything in Mexico. I feel like their characters weren't fleshed out enough in the main campaign. A DLC that fills us in from the end of RDR2 until RDR1 would be nice. We could see a bit more of Mexico than in 1. I feel like every other character has a decent enough send off.
If not that, then I totally wouldn't mind having RDR1 in this engine as DLC. That be great, too.Last edited by Junior Moe; 11-10-2018, 11:41 AM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I found a guy in Saint Denis selling a “get rich quick” book for $50. I bought it, but it’s really long. Do you have that and if so, did you read it?#LFC

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I read every book I find. I think all of them have been in the camp. The stories are not long at all. It says "read book" but it's two pages long. One of them is actually written by a character that shows up in a mission.
I'm intrigued there's actually a book that's longer.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
There was a guy who was fishing at a downstream river, standing at the edge of a 10-foot precipice. His horse was nearby and I commanded it to flee. The guy turned around upset and fired at me, and I ran at him with my horse and knocked him over the edge. Lost a hell of a lot of honor for that, but it was too funny to pass up.
