It’s a good game. I want to be the worst person possible, any advice?

Every time I replay it and get to the last campsite I want to stop playing and restart it. Not that the rest of the game isn't great, but its so depressing lol.

I wouldn't mind a future game that was another prequel, this time seeing the gang during the glory days.

Be the ruthless "bad" cowboy you see in every western. Rob every stranger you come across on the open road or in the wilderness. Kill everyone who mouthes off to you. Talk trash (antagonize) to tons of people.

My favorite is when you experience a chance encounter of a rival gang holding up an innocent guy and his wife on their wagon/stage. You ride up, kill the gang members, the innocents thank you, then you rob them.

I reached the lowest honor + maximum bounty in my most recent post-epilogue playthrough. It eventually led to this...

I was pursued by a posse of lawmen so large that it included seven dogs!

I remember when there was a member here named ICT who would post all the time (but hasn't been active for five years). Didn't know what it stood for, never really thought hard about it or bothered to ask.

Then one day back when the Everything Else sub-forum around, there was a thread (which no longer exists) asking users what their usernames meant. People are running the gamut with long-storied explanations, such as I'm sure I did as well.

Then ICT comes into the thread and makes his to-the-point contribution: "Ice Cream Truck."

If everyone in that thread on OS was sitting in a circle of chairs and he goes after 20 others have gone, everyone would have just burst out laughing. Never in a million years would I have thought that was his username. Eventually he donated and made that name official, so if you ever see him again that's what he will be posting under.

Oh, and his avatar helped with the hilarity:

I'll be doing more shots later (and not in Photo Mode so I don't have to go through all this Social Club crap and also so I can get 21:9 shots), but RDR 2 on PC is absolutely gorgeous! I approached my camp, and this is what I walked into. No filters whatsoever.

                      EDIT: Ah, here we are.

You can go into Photo Mode, hide the controls (Y/Triangle I think) and take screenshots from there. That's what I do. Social Club is so damn cumbersome.

I'm hundreds of hours into this game and I've never seen this NPC, a guy with a second cargo horse in tow.

I've started taking photos of random NPCs. There are some great looking characters but it's also brought to my attention how restrictive Rockstar was with the clothing available to us. They've held back so many cool articles of clothing.

                        I love this guy's jacket.

                          Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

There's a big RDO update coming tomorrow. We don't have a dedicated, active RDO thread and this thread is pretty quiet so I think it's okay to discuss it in here.

I've been trying to get back into RDO but it still feels like such a grind. You have to play 30+ hours a week to get some decent progress. I think I spent 6-7 hours playing it this weekend and I moved from Level 24 to 26.

I didn't get disconnected, which is progress, but there were still so many frustrating glitches. I found a few collectibles but couldn't pick them up. I'd press Y, the circle would move around the perimeter of the Y icon indicating that I should pick it up but nothing happened. I shot a few baddies in the head at close range (but not the execution animation) and it took a good 5-6 seconds before the game registered what happened and then they fell dead to the ground. Just a lot of sloppiness all around.

I'm still WFH and work is generally quiet July-Aug anyway so I'm going to try to put in a bunch of time over the next month.

I'm anxious to see what the update brings, but I'm not sure it'll bring me back to RDO just yet. Mostly, what I am waiting for to return is whatever day in the future I actually am able to upgrade my 1070ti. The card doesn't do too well with this game at 1440p and I have my enjoyment drastically reduced playing this game in the 30s and 40s in frames if I want it to look halfway decent.

My buddy and I did spend a week grinding away and I got a ton of the trader upgrades in that one week, and it seems just hunting and filling that bar up as printing money for us, we just never had anything to spend it on. I don't know if the moonshiners update brought more to spend that money on, but we haven't even played since before then. I've spent another 100+ hours in GTA Online since the last time I played RDO simply because it has more content and stuff to grind for, which it should being so much older, but it seems Rockstar is moving at a snails pace with RDO.

I don't play Red Dead Online, but it would be nice if they brought in Mexico.

It would be even nicer if they did for single player as well, but we all know how Rockstar rolls these days with single player DLC.

Clothes are the only fun thing to spend it on IMO. Weapons are whatever. You're fine with a basic revolver, rifle, shotgun, and repeater. You don't need anything fancier.

The frustrating controls in this game magnified online where everything is at a rushed pace and a race against time. In Story Mode you can relax and really take your time. Granted you can do that in RDO but you're spinning your wheels. You might as well rush through stuff to get more money, XP, gold, etc.
