A lot of leaked game play videos coming out now.

I've never really cared about early missions being "spoiled", so I've watched them all. Altogether there's been probably about 10 minutes of game play leaked.

Hype just keeps going up for me, after watching the raw gameplay. Unbelievably stoked for this game. Might just go home and go straight to bed tonight to make it go faster... Lol

So it appears game stop is letting copies out at 9pm. Is this a ploy to get people to go back to physical? Because it might be working for me. I need Microsoft and Sony to get with it and unlock digital at the same time. Was annoying for Spider-Man and it looks like it’s happening again.


Edit: actually ****, I didn’t think about having to install. Probably wouldn’t be ready to play before 10:30 or so anyways.

That is exactly the reason I cancelled my pre order for the physical copy and went digital. It's downloaded and ready for 11 PM CST Thursday. Instead of getting it Friday and not playing until Saturday night.

My plan was to work from home Friday and pick the game up at Best Buy on lunch break, come home and install it so it'll be ready to go after work.

That said, why do you guys think it's going to take days to install the game from the disc? Lol, it can't take all that long.

My plan was to work from home Friday and pick the game up at Best Buy on lunch break, come home and install it so it'll be ready to go after work.

That said, why do you guys think it's going to take days to install the game from the disc? Lol, it can't take all that long.

Lol, don't worry, when I end up going to Best Buy on Thursday night instead I'll be cursing the whole time I'm waiting for the install to finish.

The irony is I'm only going with the physical copy from Best Buy to save my measly $12. GCU, you fickle witch, you.

This might be one of the few games worth full price IMO.

I'm not against digital and/or paying full price. And you're right, this is one of those occasions where it was worth it buy digitally at full price.

But I've enough other things going on I'm not going to let the game taking an hour to install bother me too much. And in the end I paid $5 more for the Special Edition than the standard edition I'd have gotten if I didn't go the GCU route.

I’ve never had a game take longer than 1-2 hours to install. Usually they are much quicker than that. Especially to get to the “ready to start” point.

In bought Forza Horizon 4 and Spider-Man recently. Essentially done with Spider-Man until I pick up dlc and there is no set objective in horizon so I can focus on red dead for the most part. I did pass on tomb raider and assassins creed as far as recent releases go because of red dead though.

Best buy is doing that too.

Word to the wise: Call your local store to confirm that they're actually doing this. They advertised this for NBA 2K19 too and then the day of, they pulled the advertisement off their website and acted like I had 5 heads when I asked them about it.
