Is anyone else unable to pre-load the game? I pre-ordered in June and it shows up in my games as a pre-order but I can't DL it in an advance, an option that went live last Thursday.

Not sure then sorry. I know on the ps4 I have had to go into My Library to my purchased games and download it from there even though it was set to auto-download. Not sure if you can do the same thing on the Xbox One.

So I'm responding to the "honorable versus outlaw" thing with a question:

They said that you can have benefits and consequences for doing either all told, but is there something where every choice can be of benefit whether you go one way or the other? In essence, you can balance your outlaw ways with your honorable ways, be a neutral party, but reap the most rewards and such as a result?

Or do you think that these benefits and consequences have less to do with doing honorable/dishonorable things versus just being honorable/dishonorable? Like, you're an outlaw? Awesome, they'll let you into the underground saloon. You're honorable? Great, the sheriff will have your back when you're stiffed. Things like that.

If it has to do with the latter of just being one versus the other and you want to lean on one side as a result, I'll start the honorable way. Maybe do the dishonorable way afterward.

I don't believe it's something you manually go "do". I'm on xb1 as well, and mine just did it automatically.

Go to your Games and Apps section on the menu, click start on rdr2 and go to "Manage Game and Add Ons".

On this page, see if it's got the 88gb file listed in the "Installed" section. If it does, you're good to go!

FWIW I called GameStop today about the console trade in promotion towards a OneX and the new 100 off a OneX for buying red dead promotion stacking and they couldn’t give me a yes or no answer. He said they may know tomorrow. The guy said he’s hoping they stack but sometimes the better deal takes priority.

Still a good deal either way but obviously better if the deals stack. You’d essentially get 300 off a OneX if you trade in an OG PS4/Xbox one and buy red dead on red dead launch date.

I'm not against digital and/or paying full price. And you're right, this is one of those occasions where it was worth it buy digitally at full price.

But I've enough other things going on I'm not going to let the game taking an hour to install bother me too much. And in the end I paid $5 more for the Special Edition than the standard edition I'd have gotten if I didn't go the GCU route.

I'll have all the time I need to play this as I'm off work until mid January... Going to take my time and really enjoy it fully.

As far as good vs evil.. I've always been a goody two shoes... cant help it. lol
