Is Nioh as hard as Dark Souls and Bloodborne? Those games are great but too hard for me. I don't have the patience.

I'd love to say give it a go because it's a fantastic game, but if those games were too hard, you're likely to run into the same issue here.

However, I will say that by midgame or maybe a bit farther, you become much harder to kill due to the skills you unlock and some of the stat bonuses you can acquire through gear sets. I'm in the next to last area I believe (haven't been able to play as much this week) and I've been mowing through the levels. Part of it is a lot of experience with the Souls games, but I can tell that my character is far more equipped to handle everything now.

Picked up the Minoden Dual Tachi last night. Slightly less parry ability but more attack multiplier. Once I get my familiarity up I think those are gonna be pretty bad*** dual swords.

Shoot I'm still relatively early and feel my limited (in the grand scheme of things) Bloodborne experience makes Nioh feel a bit easier. LOVE the ability to block though I don't do it often. I parry mostly.

For those who hard or are having a hard time figuring out some of the nuances of the game I found some of the tips in the Playstation Europe article helpful. Not sure if it was posted already:

I'm sure most of it is known but I didn't know for instance that spirit stones refill your Guardian Spirit along with granting you extra Amirita.

The bat lady took about 30 tries but I finally got her!

Ugh.... knocked off a cliff by some dang bats after making solid progress and now must start from the very beginning of the level. Bed time lol

Those bats will make you real paranoid about hitting block anytime you round a corner. There are two spots in that mission where they will kill you if you aren't really fast on the block.

No, it's not, I played both of those other games and I straight up hated both of them. Way too hard. Nioh is difficult at times but not nigh impossible like those games are.

That I found out just messing around. Had like 8 of em and had no clue what to do. Read the description and saw something about refilling Amirita. Pumped about 4 of em and used my guardian spirit during one of my failed attempts at beating Onryoki lol

I have a ton of stuff that I have no idea what it is and I"m afraid to use it to "waste it". One thing I dislike about this game. Does this link tell what things do?

If you hit L2 (PS4) it gives a description but that still doesn't help with some things. Like I've got enough salt to give the entire country high blood pressure but don't know what it's for. Lol

I've got the first one down and I walk slowly then jump back. I've only gotten back to the second spot the one time where I was knocked off the edge of the cliff. I looked at my HUD, saw shrine (green dot) and was on my way when the buggers took me out! [emoji1]

Ok, I didn't know that L2 did that. thanks!

I think the salt is for throwing on those demons ground where it's all cloudy and **** so you do'nt have to Ki pulse right on it and it'll stop draining you but I've never gotten it to work, I just try to Ki pulse and it works most of the time and I don't mess with the salt anymore.

One things for sure if I find any eggs or pizza in the game I will have plenty of salt for them

Game makes me Salty enough sometimes and they try to give me more
