Nioh
On the last region and getting close to wrapping this game up. What a pleasure this one has been. I will definitely go back and play NG+ and I love giving aid to people who need help getting through a level. This is a AAA title and I anxiously await the DLC.
I did not experience the late game grind feel some folks talked about but that's just my opinion. I would definitely like to see some more enemy variety via the DLC if that's possible but I thought the maps were tremendous.
After this it's on to Horizon: Zero Dawn, then The Show and Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Re: Nioh
I have completed the main story and only have 2 insane side missions left to have cleared everything on the first difficulty level. I have played some NG+ and had success. I am at level 135. Today I played some co-op and ran into a guy that was level 685. Six Hundred Eighty Five.
About 20 minutes later I ran into another guy that was level 665. These guys must not have jobs or lives.

Re: Nioh
Im glad i found this thread. Im definitely going to get this at some point but I just finished Bloodborne a few days ago so Im going to take a bit of a break from masochistic RPG action games for a while. Maybe by the summer it will be discounted and i can jump into in.Comment

Re: Nioh
Debating on picking this up, help me out folks: I'm not a huge RPG fan, haven't played Dark Souls or anything like that.
Played The Witcher 3 and although that was fun, I was a little overwhelmed at everything (the open world and side missions were insane!). I'm not big into stats and constantly leveling up weapons and crafting stuff.
But I do enjoy big boss fights, a good combat system and looooooved Ninja Gaiden.
Debating between this and NHL 17. Which one should it be guys?Last edited by ps3veron; 04-06-2017, 04:26 AM.Comment

Re: Nioh
Based on your description, this seems like a game you would enjoy. It is probably my favorite game so far this year (and this year has been tremendous for gaming). It has a deep combat system (3 different stances, a variety of move sets), big boss fights, and resembles Ninja Gaiden to a degree (same developer). It is also a buttery smooth 60 frames per second. It is not an easy game, but you learn how to get better at it and attack certain enemies the more you play. If certain portions are difficult, you can always grind and build your character up to be more powerful. Plus there are some magic buffs to help you out even further.
You do not have to craft anything (the crafting system is there if you need it), but you do have to attribute stat points to the categories that are beneficial to the character type you want to build. It is not overly complex though. I hope this was helpful for you.Comment

Re: Nioh
Get it. It's outstanding and not too complicated like a real RPG, ala Witcher 3, as you mentioned.
