I picked it up last night, at GameRush. I was the second in line, thanks to the tournament they were doing. Didn't stand in line, but about 30 minutes.

Single player is awesome, but multiplayer is unreal! I'm loving everything about it so far, except for the fact they put BOTH discs in the LE Case.

BTW, if you're planning to play online, go to http://www.bungie.net and register for stat tracking.

There weren't as many classic "gaming nerds" as I expected at the EB I went to. Some people gave fake claps when the first guy came out of the store with the game, but after that everybody just wanted the line to hurry up!

Out of 70 people I spotted about 5 "classic nerds".

When I play FPS I get motion sickness. Has anyone go sick from it, since its quicker this time around.

A little headache that went away with some "Goody's". It's pretty intense with a lot of rapid eye movement, so I wouldn't recommend it for you.

When I play FPS I get motion sickness. Has anyone go sick from it, since its quicker this time around.

i concur. Multiplayer is superb so far. Been having a blast with the guys playing CTF. Now i just have to get decent at playing.

Gah, I hope you guys will all still be playing online come Christmas time. I just recently got San Andreas and Smackdown vs. RAW, and I don't feel like spending anymore on games till Christmas.

Although your guys impressions are KILLING me, and I want this game right now, i'm trying my hardest to hold off.

Online multi-player is good but with a lot of people (earlier we had about 10-12 OSers) you sometimes respawn right in the middle of a gunfight. Sometimes it's good 'cause you get an easy kill, sometimes it's bad 'cause you're not ready for it and if you're the people in the fight when someone respawns near you they can come up from behind and kill you easily.

I agree, the respawn locations are a little odd sometimes. Playing CTF at the new Blood Gultch (Coagulation), sometimes we would respawn out by the teleport near the middle of the field. I'm sure this is to prevent us from keep spawning at the base and making it really hard for the other team to get away with our flag, but it's also unfair because often an opponant will kill you outside of your base, run upstairs and teleport only to find the person they just killed waiting for him due to a respawn up there...This happened on just about every level we played CTF on, for Zanzibar you didn't alway start at the beach, actually you really only started there at the beginning and after that you were on the wall or across it closer to the base you are attacking. Just seemed like Halo 1's respawn in team games was much more centered around the base.


And by the way, I know I am really liking a game when I have to nitpick for details such as respawn locations to complain about!

I did the first time I played the original. I had only rented it so I didn't play it anymore. However, I played again at a friends house and I was fine. I think it was because it was on a bigger TV and we sat further away.

I'd recommend renting it...try sitting further away from the TV and see how it goes.
