    More xbox 2 rumors--3 different versions??

    Three new Xbox 2's?: Xbox Next, Xbox Next HD, and Xbox Next PC

    According to reports streaming in from some loose-penned European press, Microsoft will release three different versions of the Xbox Next.  The standard Xbox Next will be a basic gaming console.  The Xbox Next HD will include a hard drive.  Then, about a year later, the Xbox Next PC will be released as a fully-functioning Windows Media Center PC, all in a package smaller than the current Xbox.  It is slated to come with a wireless mouse and keyboard and a CD Burner.  This should cause some healthy consumer confusion next year while making things difficult on developers.  Keep in mind chances are good the thing won't even be called Xbox "Next."  Fanboys, start your engines!

      next PC will basically be a console version of "longhorn"

      next HD seems like the obvious buy, but it'd be like 60-100 dollars more than regular xbox next...

      but why manufactor 3 systems, when only one, most likely, will make you money?

                                      I actually like the design. I wish Sony would realize that a game console isn't a stereo and should look like a game console. So long as Microsoft doesn't do anything close to what Nintendo did with the Gamecube, I'm fine with the design.

                                      It's sleek, small, and looks to fit in one place. THe Gamecube had all this but was also bulky. And original XBOX looked like a truck.

                                              I did'nt mind the PS2 design. It fitted nice and snug sharing shelf space with my dvd player on my entertainment center. The XBOX fits nowhere. Its usually forced to sit on top of the EC because its so damn big and bulky. Plus since it does'nt have a flat surface, you cant sit anything on top of it. The GC was just a utter waste of space. It does'nt fit well anywhere and is light as a feather so if you trip over a cord, watch as the GC goes flying across the room.

                                                      Well, it is kinda ironic that they name it the XBOX and not have a shape of a box and instead go for more circular shapes. If they squar it off and keep that design, it'll be a keeper.
