Not a big fan of the kill ring. I literally get killed by this more than people because I am to far outside the range when it decides to shrink. I am never by cars. Instead of a death penalty it should maybe take a BP penalty with the option to respawn you inside the kill ring. I dont know...just spitballing. Maybe I just need to centrally infil that way I can move in either direction when its time. It kinda take away from the strategy IMO. Like I said, I am a deadly MOFO if it werent for the kill ring shrinking to fast and far leaving me dead.

I die to the ring maybe once every 3 months, I've died to the ring less than 5 times total. You can almost always reach the ring if you move when it is time. I don't see the flaw with it other than it should be MORE damaging and gas riding shouldn't be possible.

Sure. We would all be deadly mofos if we didn't have to move and could just camp.

The entire game strategy is created by the ring.

Sorry, but this makes no sense at all.

          Re: Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

Yeah not sure how you can say there's no strategy involved with the blue. You have to decide when to start heading for the circle depending on your circumstances. You can also take the risk of veering off course in hopes to find a vehicle at one of the vehicle spawn points, but if that doesn't pan out you may have just ended your game instead rather than barely making it into the circle with little health.

The entire blue circle mechanic shapes your strategy entirely. Maybe the circle ends on a bridge. now a common strategy is to claim the bridge earlier and bunker down and take down anyone trying to cross. You just can't decide to book it last second and expect to live. You have to factor in position, size of the circle, distance, as well as loot. If you already have access to a car, you have more leeway on how late you can head towards the circle. If you don't, that's your fault for not accounting for that.
Yes there are times you get screwed by the circle, but that happens often towards the end. You just got to hope the circle lands on you so you don't have to push out in the open.

You may want to risk losing a portion of your health if you wanted to run for someone's loot that you knew had a sweet AWM or something.

Well, like I said...there really isn't anybincentive to infil to far outside the map which in reality is what any "survivalist" would do. The blue ring is fine, I get that, but as I said...i was spiraling a PERSONAL idea that suggested maybe an alternative to just killing off a player who distanced themselves to far from the ring. Maybe a BP point deduction with a respawn? Something other than chasing down my eventual death. It was just a 'Think out loud' ordeal so don't get all riled up. The idea made sense. No one is camping, at least not this guy. I am constantly on the move, just exploring maybe too much.

Wow, lol you guys are straight internet tough. I was just thinking out loud. I infil at the very edge of the map, I literally just started playing this so all this is initial impressions after playing 4 matches thus far. The issue is I think I have more time to explore when I clearly don't. It's literally a mad 2 minutes and collapse to the kill zone.

How is this running for those playing it on xbox one s or the original xbox one?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

                  I’m playing on the S.
I experienced a ton of crashes last week. Read on a PUBG forum that it was happening to a lot of people when on a vehicle. Oddly enough, I noticed this as well. I played a bunch of singles/squads the last two nights and had only one crash (while driving). Developer is aware of the crashing and there is an upcoming patch this week that possibly might address the crash issues. More info will be released once the patch is approved by Microsoft.

Other issue I’ve experienced is the graphic rendering in terms of buildings. This happens during the start of the match, buildings tend to be empty for a few seconds once you land.

I’m trying to play a bunch tonight and see how it goes.

I don't think anyone is being "internet tough". Your mostly posting to an audience who's been playing this game for the better part of a year. That doesn't discredit your views, it's just that most of us have worked through and understand the nuances of this game. Specifically the circle. It is just something that needs to be learned and accepted. It basically is the backbone to the game.

I was just thinking out loud. I infil at the very edge of the map, I literally just started playing this so all this is initial impressions after playing 4 matches thus far. This is fair. There is no way to"explore" in this game besides doing so in a match. While not just frustrating, you may also feel disadvantaged not knowing where the good loot spots are. That said, this game is basically about throwing you to the fire. Even if you're good-to-better at FPS's you'll probably die a lot in the early stages. You just need to learn strategy and locations and adapt, like everyone else who is starting out playing this game. Unfortunately you may be behind in the fact that some, if not most, have a leg up having already played or have been playing for a decent amount of time.

Anyway don't let that deter you. Take your lumps early. Hit up Google and look over the map and get an idea on the good loot spots. Play, die a bunch, rinse and repeat and have fun!

You then admit to having very little time in the game but take offense to the long time players explaining that your point of view is flawed.

                        Spoiler
, so I've been playing since November of 2016 (14 Months) and have witness the game make many changes. One of those was the blue doing so little damage output that 50 to 60 players would spend 15 min to 20 min of the game in the gas the whole time. This lead to very little engagements INSIDE the circle because so many were milking the blue to survive until the final 2 circles. They then sped up the circles, increased the damage, and doubled the damage on the final few circles. This change then lead to forcing players to "play the objective" of moving to the safe circle instead of relying on "hiding in the gas".

The next change will most likely be a slight damage increase AND increasing visual disturbance for being in the circle. Most of the community agrees the blue is to forgiving. Hell H1Z1 King of the Kill is pure arcade and it has a much more dangerous circle.

So to wrap it up, I'd suggest spending more time with the game. At some point you will get tired of getting shot in the back from people staying in the gas all game while you play the objective.

                            Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

Something I've always said about this game is: your strategy and approach to the circle and subsequent circles (putting yourself in area that has as small as threat as possible, water to your back if possible, on top of a hill etc.) means more than your skill firing the weapons. It can be the main reason you get that Chicken Dinner.

It may not be a revolutionary thought, just one that is different from most shooters.

Remember the line the plane took when you jumped. If you have to travel a long distance to the first circle, try and get to the side of the circle that likely has the fewest players but still enough areas to loot.

Ok, I'm done with advice since I'm really not that good anyway lol.

But, here is an interactive map for both maps that should be helpful to new players

Unofficial PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Interactive Maps. Datamined vehicle, boat, loot, weapon spawn locations.

That I agree with wholeheartedly. 4 matches isn't a huge sample size. Played about a good 6 or so last night and ended up doing well. Landing is key, but the main takeaway is get what your comfortable rolling around with and stay on the move. Putting markers down also helps.
