That's the perfect way to get me to play through this a 2nd time. I will hold off till sometime next year hopefully with some updated next gen features also.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Maybe the update will get me to dust off this game. I'm still in Act 1, haven't played since the month of release. The gameplay is great but for whatever reason the game just didn't pull me in like I was expecting. Just have this feeling the entire time I play that something is "off" for lack of better terms.
I'm sure i'll have fun with the multiplayer addition though. But I just don't get the hype with this game personally [emoji2369] aside from the gameplay and historical setting there's just really nothing that holds my attention

I hope more games don't shy away from using historical/ancient settings like this though. I never cared for the Assassin's Creed games but I always appreciated the environments and settings they replicated

It is an outstandingly gorgeous game and it's cinema-like presentation is fantastic. It certainly taps into and drives home those atmospheric movie moments from classic samurai movies.
But like you said - there's that "something" that is missing. Like a keystone in an arch. Maybe I needed to focus more on the narrative rather than roaming the map aimlessly, but combat and traversal are just "OK" to me and with a game like this it needs to at least be fun in the early parts before the grinding sets in.
The only time I've really thought about the game in the past two months is when my screensaver comes on my PC and my loaded screenshots cycle through and I catch a glimpse of that beautiful scenery and presentation again.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 Exclusive)
The side quest involving Ishikawa is better than 99 per cent of the main quests of other games. The depth to the character and voice acting is fantastic.Comment

I felt Ishikawa was the best of the side missions. Plus you gained weapon choices.Comment

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 Exclusive)
Watched my son okay through and he had even less patience with the multitude of fluff. And he did everything in Horizon (another game I tired of). Gorgeous games, smooth gameplay, but boring.
That being said, I downloaded AC Odyssey after Ghost on the cheap and that game was atrocious trash. Hard level gating, pushing microtransactions for XP, garbage, poorly animated combat, and load times...oh the load times. Heard it was the best AC, more RPG like, gives Witcher a run for its money, the perfect entry to the series for me. Malarkey. Ghost took everything Ubisoft did and improved it. Still boring, but grade A Choice boring!

Really!? I thought his was the worst because it was so repetitive until the last few. Oh no, x has done this, looks like X's handiwork...rinse and repeat.

Yikes! I guess everyone has their likes and dislikes. We are COMPLETELY different on how we see games. Horizon, Ghost, and Odyssey are some of the greatest games I've ever played. Like Rudy said, I think you just have an issue with open world games. Personally, they are my favorites, BECAUSE there is so much to do and I can play them for months without having to shell out a bunch of money to buy new games as soon as they release. To each their own.
Edit: Rudy lost points with me for calling Witcher (my favorite game of all time) over rated. That is blasphemy! Lol!Last edited by PPerfect_CJ; 10-08-2020, 09:12 AM.#LFC

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 Exclusive)
I tried the Witcher too and couldn’t get into it either. I did like the tv show tho [emoji23]
To me, the story of Ghosts is so much better than AC and I’m a HUGE AC fan. If you take the time to follow the individual stories and see how they all tie together was really well done.
Ghosts isn’t as open of a world as AC where everything is truly “living and breathing” but the combat in AC can get really repetitive.
