Alright, this game is addicting. Any tips to push myself over the hump to 3 stars to unlock the next island? I don't know if it tells you the actual number, but I think I'm at like 2.8 stars.

EDIT: Literally as I hit send on this, I discovered I had a dinosaur that I incubated that I forgot about waiting to be released. When I did, I unlocked Isla Muerta.

Finally got around to playing this today. Almost got the first island to 5 stars. A really fun addicting game.

The only thing I don't like is that you can't use your money on all the parks.

Yeah, I don't like that. I sat on Matanceros for a longer than I needed to, because I thought money transfered from island to island. So I sat on Matanceros building up as many millions of dollars as I could before jumping to the next island. Turns out it was all a waste of time.

I'm sitting here with 21 million at Matanceros and 4 million at Muerta, while poor Tacano has 302k. I had to close Tacano until I figure it out. I can't afford to do any dinosaurs or anything there.

I love this game. I've completed all of the missions as of right now so I'm going back and demolishing all islands so I can get them all to 5 stars. Plus I want to try and make the islands look as nice as possible. I pretty much put things anywhere the first time around.

Oh absolutely, that money will come very much in handy when I demolish and rebuild Matanceros and the other islands from the ground up with a much better (although expensive) layout. I just wish I could use some of my funds from Matanceros to get the Muerta up and running, and then use the money from Muerta to kick start Tacano and so on.


When I first started playing the game, I thought money was either cumulative between all the islands or you could carry the money you made on one island over to the next island in the chain. So I sat on Matanceros for multiple actual real life days and built up over $65 million in profits think I could use either all or part of that money on Isla Muerta. How wrong I was!

Don't play everyday but, when I do play, four hours later you're like "where the heck did the time go"? It's that addicting.

I'm still on Isla Muerta and can't wait to get off this island. Total time playing 21 hours in. I've managed to make a huge profit for the park. One of my most interesting missions was for me to accept taking in a sick dinosaur to house her, research the disease, then cure her. I accepted the mission despite Dr Malcolm's preaching and had so much time to properly prep a quarantine area for a Brachiosaurus.(see pic below) You can ask for time extensions to properly prepare a quarantined area but at the cost of $'s. Didn't anticipate a 2nd arrival after my success. A Metriacanthosaurus. (see pic below) Once I was able to nurse her back to health too, I had 2 new attractions that helped me make money for the park. However, the Metria was a pain in the ***. She got out of her enclosure and killed 7 guests. Was going to prepare a gladiatorial battle between the Metria and the Ceratosaurus but she died of old age before setting it up.

Digging at raptors sites at the moment. Closing in on Dilophosaurus genome.

I want this game but am clueless as to what to do? Any tips/advice is welcomed.

Our words will definitely sound alien campy for those who have not played the game but trust me, when you do play the game it all makes sense.

The biggest question about the game is does it have enough material for $60? If your a dinosaur lover and a fan of the Jurassic Park titles, its a no brainer. It's not a 10 hour game, nor a game I think you play everyday but you'll put hours into it during play through. I haven't heard how long it takes to get through 5 islands but I wouldn't be surprised it will take me 50 hours or more. Whether that means anything of importance for the value is another question. You'll be able to direct commands to do tasks or, if you wish, do them yourself. If you go by what Frontier's done in the past with titles like Elite Dangerous then we should be getting free DLCs down the road so the developer has a reputation of supporting their games.

Is this game worth the 60 bucks?? I say yes. I've completed all missions after buying the game July 3. I got through it quicker than I thought but that's because I pretty much played every free chance that I had it was that addicting. I am currently going back through the islands, demolishing them all and rebuilding from scratch but I'm also thinking about starting the game over and doing the missions all over again. It can get kinda boring once you've completed the game so you'll have to find ways of keeping yourself entertaining.
