    They sound different to me.

To me it feels like Kassandra is an amazing lead character, the guy is just another guy. I've been kind of paying more attention to the performances of voice actors lately

I agree with pretty much everything in this article.
Should I pick Kassandra or Alexios?

I like that the novelization stars Kassandra.

Do the city leaders keep regenerating after you kill them? I noticed I've taken down this one city's leader 3x and then another unidentified leader icon would pop again a short while later.

Different sides occupy the regions over time. So if another side conquerors the region, you will get new city leader. That is something I noticed, the landscape of who controls what constantly changes. Like last night I conquered Phoki and Megeris again because the Athenians won them back over time.

          Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Played 60 hours thus far. Level 29. Finally started to advance the story today in Attica and holy hell, it's freaking huge. I think that it might very well be the biggest region in Odyssey. Have come across some very good side quests and character side quests which are basically sets of side quests given to you from the same character. I did the Kleon set in Attica and it was very good. Really enjoyed how I personally concluded the last two objectives (combat wise).

Still have a crap ton of stuff to clear out in Attica but I'll save it as I want to make sure that I complete any story and side quests in the region before clearing out the points of interest as I don't want to go to a camp, fort, etc. a second time due to a quest being connected to it.

The small little camp fire outposts that aren't points of interest and just scattered around are usually connected to a timed quest so I end up getting at least two of these a day where I clear out that very small area, loot the bodies and a quest pops up and when I check it, it says that I just have to go collect my reward for completing it.

P.S. - I love the Sparta kick. No matter how many times I use it on an enemy at a high point, it never gets old and I laugh every time.

            Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Level 44 now. This game makes it impossible to keep an armor set you actually like throughout the entire game without spending REAL MONEY. The upgrade costs are too damn high, SERIOUSLY. Not only high in dracmae, but high in every resource. Like they asking for 10s of thousands in dracmae, thousands in each resource FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. Like that is impossible to afford. That pisses me off because there are a few that I really liked, they looked awesome. But the costs are just too insane. Angry Joe Show ranted about that in his review of the game.

I hit pretty much every island in the game except for like 2 in the far northeast part of the map. Conquests are cool and all, but they are meaningless. You take territory just to come back later and see that they lost all the land you conquered. They should have made it like Brotherhood, where you take territory, improve it and when it is at risk of failing you get a message asking for help. Giving you an option to help or send reinforcements. Big missed opportunity there by Ubisoft.

I killed so many mercs I lost count. Even recruited some of them to be my ship crew members. Only type of mercs that cause issues are the ones with fire bombs, flaming or poison weapons. I do hate when you fighting one of them and a civilian gets in the way. You kill a civilian all hell break loose and before you know it you fighting 3 mercs at the same time, plus a half dozen troops. So yeah, try to fight mercs away from people if you can. I prefer catching them traveling on the road.

The side quests......done so many of them. A few are funny, a few are very simple. But majority of them are just fetch missions. Being the grandchild of Leonadis that feels so beneath my character. Especially considering everybody in the world know who you are and knows what happened to you. They could have been done much better. Just like the romance thing could have been done so much better. It is just TOO BASIC. You go places and people want to bang you. Guess I was spoiled by how the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series handled romance.

I hopped off the main story line for a bit because I got bored with it. I am chapter 9 of 10, so not much of the story is left. Got carried away just slaughtering fort after fort and hunting people down. I spot a leader, I kill a leader. It had become my own little mini amusement game. Naval combat is so so. It is pretty difficult once you get up there in rank due to you fighting groups of them instead of 1 on 1.

And now for a few pics

76 hours and the game is complete as a level 46. So many things to say.......But this is definitely not my top 3 in the series.

                Some spoilers

                Spoiler

Over all I give this game a 6 out of 10. Beautiful looking game. The story starts off slow, get interesting for a bit in the middle, then falls off the cliff the 2nd half of the game. It is isn't just the main story line either, it is the entire structure of the missions that let me down big time. Which I got into in the spoilers. The ending just left me with a WTF feeling in a bad way. Game had so much potential, I feel as though if they released this game in the fall of 2019 instead of this year, spent more time making the structure and story better, game over all could have been so much better.

                Now for some pictures

I discovered 99% of the map and did majority of the side quests. You can't rank up without doing a lot of side quests. Still have a ton of side quests left over that I can do. After beating the game, I came to the conclusion the game is 97% side quests and 3% main story. A lot of the quests I was doing because I thought it was part of the main story turned out not to be, they are their own side quests.

There isn't a region in the game I haven't been to and made quick syncs too. Hell I even became king of the arena. The arena in this game is way easier then it was in Origins. You can become king of the arena in this game in 1 hour. Literally it took me only an hour to beat all the bosses in the arena.

I killed 37 to 40 mercs out of the 50 mercs in the game. My ship is one level away in all areas from being completely maxed out. So yeah, the game is fun in it's own little way, more fun in a historical way since a lot of the people you meet in the game existed in real life.

Too many reviewers called this game The Witcher 3 killer, which sadly, it doesn't even come close. For me this game is to the Assassin's Creed series is what Mass Effect Andromeda was to the Mass Effect series. Developers trying to re-invent the wheel when the wheel was fine.

When people beat the game or even make it to the later half of the game then people will better understand what I am talking about. You go to the same cave layout for missions DOZENS of times. You go to the same tomb layout, DOZENS of times. To me if you haven't made it back to your homeland Sparta yet, then you aren't far into the game yet.

Game suffers from a severe case of the repeats. It lacked variety. No main story mission stood out and made me think wow, that was awesome. Few of the side quests are funny though. One of the characters you meet in Athens and pretty much for the rest of the game afterwards is a riot with his 1 track mind.

The more i play the more i miss the old game format. I had the same feeling with orgins and would not play for weeks at a time.

I really miss how each assassination felt different with various opportunities in the older games.

I do love that the game is bigger and better looking, but bigger doesn't always mean better.

I miss being able to be a lot more stealthy with the old tools

I do not like the rpg aspects other than making choices and they should've stayed in they're lane and not copy the Witcher and Shadow of Mordor.

I'm at 64 hours and still have a bunch left.

I can see why fans of assassin's Creed might have some gripes with the game. I think every early assassins creed game is terrible, so it's make sense that people that liked original games are put off by some things in this game.

I sure don't like that everyone pretty much levels up with you though, I was hoping to be overpowered against some enemies at one point.

Engrave your weapons and armor. It sort of makes you overpowered a little bit but not by a lot. There are some really nice engraves you learn. I just wish they gave you the choice of choosing what 4 you wanted on a particular item. A few abilities are quite powerful too once you get to level 2 and 3 of said ability.

For example: The hunter tree have some really good crowd control abilities. They come in handy during conquest battles and when you fighting a lot of enemies in forts.
