The side quests story lines are way better.

Discovered you can sleep with both men and women in this game. The weather changes too often in the is game for my liking. At times in a span of 20 seconds it will go from sunny to raining to sunny again. Some times the day and night cycle happens pretty quick too. Level design is kind of all over the place. At times you will play different missions in the same cave layout.

Combat is pretty basic and straight forward. Dodge, attack, dodge, shield grab, attack, dodge, sparta kick. Rinse and repeat. You can parry too if you like. There are stealth kills in the game. However they are so violent and long winded it is best to make sure nobody is nearby. It is always the same animation too. The long winded stealth kill at times have gotten me seen by other guards. You do have the choice to knock them out too though, which is quicker.

Once you get to level 12, you have more flexibility to what you can do and where you can go. When I hit that level I started doing contracts and hunting bounty hunters. Also was able to hunt better wild life which gave more pelts. I wish there was a faster way to get wood. Wood is a choir being you don't come across it a lot and when you do you get so few. That is one thing I miss about Origins, the ability to rob carts full of gold, wood and other materials where you could score 200 or more at a time.

    Now for some pictures:

Love the pics!! Game is a thing of beauty.

          Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

I'm enjoying the game for the most part, but they need to fix some things.

I don't like the way the Mercenary system is setup because if you don't pay the bounty off or kill the person who issued it you'll end up in encounters where you'll be fighting 2 or 3 at the same time.

I was fighting the first female bounty hunter you encounter then another one came along as well as random enemies including animals that were close by.

That alone was super unfair because they only fight you and not each other even though they should want to claim the bounty.

I then decided to kill the person who placed the bounty so my wanted level would reset.

Leveling up seems a little too geared towards missions instead of the actual experience of fighting and exploring.

I lost count of how many higher level enemies I've killed only to be still level 9.

Only when i did a stupid side quest which i had already done before finding the quest giver did i jump to level 10.

I'm like all these level 10 and 11 I've killed and I'm still level 9?

The timed missions are silly, you just offer the person some money and that's it.

Well anyway i went right to Phokis and started exploring it and the surrounding area within my level instead of doing the next main game quest.

I'm not very far into it but I'm enjoying the story so far. I'm too scared to turn off guided mode. I'm worried about missing something.

              Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Made it to level 24. Once you make it to Athens and the islands on that side of the map, you will overdose on side quests. They are literally everywhere on that side of the map. Funny thing is, the line between side quest and main quest blurs. Mainly due to the fact you get more story information from the side quests then the main story line quests. You earn more money on the eastern side of the map. The trade off is that raw materials cost way more too.

It get to the point that it is cheaper just to buy new stuff instead of just upgrading your favorite weapon or armor you became attach to. Ubisoft overdosed on the same sex dating thing. Seem to be forced upon you. I must have came across 6 same sex people who want to bang me.

Game has so much potential, but in a lot of areas it falls flat. I find it quicker to just run every where instead of riding the horse majority of the time. Kind of hard to ride a horse in the cities due to how narrow the roads are. Outside of the cities I prefer to take the direct route instead of riding around the entire mountain just to get to the top. I do like you can fast travel to your ship from anywhere any time you want. Kind of bummed out there are no bank ships or supply ships to rob. That would have been cool and would cut down on the amount of time you have to spend grinding to earn money and to acquire raw materials. Breaking down old weapons and armor don't give you enough material to make it worth your while. You better off selling it for money.

From the historical point of view, it is pretty neat seeing all these statues and temples built all over the place. Also pretty cool seeing these historical figures. However I still don't under stand why we can't have a shield in the era of SHIELDS. That just baffles me. This game world is HUGE. When you find out what you are up against, you will know what I am talking about. I can easily see this game lasting 100 hours or more.

I finally found me a good looking assassin's hood. I just felt weird wearing a spartan or Athenian helmet

Can anyone tell me what these numbers are next to the shields?

Also I have to stop doing side quests or it will be years before I finish this game.

It is the rank level of the enemies and animals in that region.

Well I am a level 27 and just had my mind blown with some discoveries. Now I got some serious grinding to do because the set of missions I have to do require you to be in your mid 30s and low 40s. So yeah that going to be a while. I ventured to the wrong island with a bunch of level 30 and 33. Didn't stand a chance.

Had the game freeze on me once and glitch on me 3 times. I also need to recruit way more crew. Some of them died in the many battles we raged. Naval crew is cool and all, but I wish we had a ground crew as well. I mean hell if you going to RPG, RPG all the way and give us a squad we can level up and arm.

I'm currently playing Origins and I am really enjoying it, RDR2 comes out in a few weeks which I am buying day 1. so I am going to wait for Odyssey steep price drop ($29.99 or less) especially since it seems like Origins in Ancient Greek skin.
Oh and I still have The Witcher 3 to beat, lol.

It's good fun. A review I watched said the girl had better voice acting, so I picked her. I'm happy I did.
Yeah, Origins is the first Assasins Creed I ever liked, I'm sure I'm going to like Odyssey too. I just wish they would get rid of the part where you plug in & out from the past to current time.

I really like the game so far, but yesterday I was thinking I'd like the game if it was exactly the same, except without the assassins Creed time travel stuff.

In other news, I rather enjoyed this little sequence.

First off I don't like how the strategy guide is laid out. Kind of hard to find out exactly where you are in the guide. But I found out I am on chapter 7 of the guide. The chapters in the guide in the table of contents have no title, just chapter numbers which is stupid. But the guide is broken down into 10 chapters. Which is crazy because these chapters cover several missions.

I am a level 31 now. Got to grind to level up my gear I found. Found some immortal gear, which look awesome. Skimming around I discovered this game has 9 different endings.

I have the guide as well and im disappointed with the Atlas section of the guide because with Origins, it had everything that was available listed for each region where as in the Odyssey guide, it just tells you the locations of the points of interest but doesn't tell you how many side quests, collectibles, etc. are in the game like Origins did.

Ok according to the game, I have logged 44 1/2 hours so far. Just hit level 32. The max level is 50. Still got a long way to go for the story line being that some of these missions require you to be a level 50. Unlike Origins, you really don't stand a chance against higher ranked enemies, especially once you get into the mid 20s and higher.
