Assassin's Creed Odyssey

It has been confirmed the new Assassin's Creed will take place in Greece, a few hundred years before Origins, but yet suppose to be a sequel to Origins. In this game you can play as a male or female. There will be dialogue choices.

I absolutely LOVED Origins. If they really take that as a blueprint and add the dialogue choices, Odyssey could be just as epic!

Loved Origins but im really hoping that the rumors of character creation is fake because it ruined Far Cry 5 in terms of story and characters. Would hate to see the same thing happen in Odyssey. Would love to see an Evie/Jacob type combination though.

I just finished origins a few days ago and just started a new game plus. I enjoyed every bit of the game and this is the first assassin's creed that I'm actually replaying over. I was hoping the next assassin's creed would be in Rome playing as Bayeks wife....oh well...

So it takes place 100 years before the hidden ones were created? How is this creed going to work?

Normally I love character creation (Like in Fallout and Skyrim), but in Assassin's Creed I like playing a character with a story. I've really liked all the characters in the series and have had a blast playing as them.

Looking forward to a setting in Greece.

Every time I think we're playing as the original assassin, they keep going further back.

Two titles from now, we get to play as Adam or Eve.

Agreed. The character creation/silent protagonist ruined Far Cry 5 for me so im hoping that Ubi doesn't do the same thing with Odyssey.

Origins put Assassin Creed back on the map for me. That game is just splendid. I loved everything about it. It kind of rekindled my love of gaming which has continued on into this year. I'm gonna give Odyssey a decent look. I don't see the yearly release as inherantly bad so much as I thought that the other titles just weren't good story/character/setting wise.

Graphically from the screen shots it look like a re-skinned Origins. Which you know, I am ok with that.

Am I the only person who's not a big fan of the naval combat? I just remember hating that mission in AC3 (I think) where you have to destroy a legendary ship.

Welp, this game look like it is 100% action oriented. I don't see how this ties into the Assassin's lore at all. Comes out October 5. Basically the movie 300 in video game form.
