Re: The Division 2
Pretty much how all these games work. This game has a ton of end game content right now though and even more is coming. I haven’t got bored yet and my build still needs a lot of work to get where I want to be. Pretty much just got to WT 5 yesterday. Ran some bounties tonight for the first time in a while. The bosses were dropping green set pieces so I’ll probably do more of that moving forward.
I like how I can just play for an hour and run a couple a missions and hope to get a couple things to improve my set up. Good change of pace from logging on and thinking I gotta spend a bunch of time grinding to 30. Not that I minded that. It’s fun getting there and it’s a blast once you’re there.Comment

Re: The Division 2
Yea all end game content is just repeating the same stuff. I'm only level 4 so far from end game(damn apex) but it sounds pretty dynamic. I put in 13 days worth of game time in d1 so I definitely did a lot of repeating the same stuff.

Re: The Division 2
I must say a few of the side missions for the campus are bugged. It don't ever show up on the map. Looking online it appear to be a well known bug. It kind of pisses me off to be honest because when I look at the projects and see those missions as the only things missing, it just irks me.Comment

Re: The Division 2
I got through the second stronghold last night. The final battle took a couple-few-some attempts to learn tactics for where the spawns come from and what not.
On to the capital building. Probably gonna have to call in support for this one though. Hyenas were a cake walk solo but the outcasts proved harder at the end.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: The Division 2
Always carry a LMG that have a 100 or 120 round clip with you. A LMG is always my secondary weapon. I usually roll with a sniper rifle and a LMG. Since they nerfed assault rifles, they really are useless to me, they take way too many bullets to kill people. SMGs are the same problem, take a few clips to kill one person. Shotguns are cool indoors and in the sewers, not so much in the open world.
Right now I’m running with an AR with 1.5k damage and Sniper with 2.3k damage... That should be alright?
I can’t think of a LMG that does 1.5k damage.

Re: The Division 2
The auto turret is a nice crowd control power and the armor repair drone will help you stay on your feet as you get them wet.
As you're leveling don't get hung uo too much about gear color or talents, you'll upgrade out of everything so quick it won't matter.
Unless you really want the mod (like an extended mag) a side mission will reward you, save all the side missions for when you're in 20's. The xp rewards scale so it'll help you move through the later levels that need more xp.
I've settled mostly running with a rifle and an AR. You won't catch me dead though(or rather you probably would) with an AR like a FAL with a 20 round clip. That's not enough, 30 base minimum and an extended clip if I can max out stability with other mods.
On the LMG discussion, if I'm in a group and I'm feeling outgunned, I might switch to one but probably not. I'm trying to kill them not suppress them with my first couple rounds.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: The Division 2
LMGs are my thing, especially in the world tiers. Enemies are extra spongey in the world tiers. I'm a gear level 489 now. My LMG do 16K damage and my m4 hunter do 99K damage. I have a shotgun that do 150K damage, it is a double barrel. Then I have a few auto shotguns that do 45K damage. Also have an AUG with a 54 round clip that do 14K damage.
LMGs rip through elite bosses that have the sledge hammer, mini gun, grenade launcher and chainsaw. I remember the first time I encountered the chainsaw dude. I was in the sewer exploring. I heard it go off way before I saw him. I was like WTF is that ? A chainsaw ?
Personally far as mods, I like the revive hive simply because you don't have to deploy it. It revives you simply from being on you. I like the machine gun turret. The sniper turret is too slow IMO in the world tiers. The missile launcher turret don't do enough damage and don't last as long as the machine gun turret.
Once you get into the world tiers, that thing that matter most is gear score, not the actual damage. Thankfully though I have weapons that are gear score 490 and 488. If a weapon not in the 480s gear score, I'm not rocking with it. This evening I did my usual round of hitting up control points, territory control, hostage saving, attacking enemy supply convoys and some supply drops. Man those supply drops are deadly. They bring every faction to you at once. Things be cool until the black tusks roll up. I lucked out a couple of times: The black tusk, true sons and outcasts were too busy fighting easy other so I nabbed 2 supply caches before they noticed me when I went after the third. I battled for a good 15 minutes before I nabbed the 3rd one. They really need to up the signature weapon ammo drop. Just getting 1 or 2 after hours of playing is annoying.Comment

Re: The Division 2
I finally hit 30 on Monday night, had to do a couple side missions to finish out 29. It took me a little bit to realize I had already finished the last Main Story mission. Then last night I'd helped a buddy out for most of the night, so I still haven't really done anything post 30 yet.
I did however run a few cycles in the DZ and got quite a bit of gear. Guess it's time to start understanding the builds more, I've really just kind of been winging it.
Anyway, on the choice of weapons - I played the majority of the game with Rifle + LMG - very efficient IMO and it always did well in almost every situation. Plus the 85+ round clips in the LMG can't be understated in those "OH S***" moment's.
But last night, after getting a good AR and SMG plus some gear that buffed both, (the gear names escape me ATM) I decided to give that combo a try. It was much better than I'd remembered early on. Takes some getting used to but there's no reason they can't both be viable. You're reloading more often but also much faster so it balances out. And like usual, headshots make all the difference, so if you're accurate you're doing plenty of damage.
Definitely going to try and keep the AR + SMG in my rotation going forward.

Re: The Division 2
No backup needed. I mowed through the Capital Building like fresh spring grass. That was way easier than the Outcast stronghold.
