Tried the same here and it just doesn't. Maybe I have to replay it a third time? Even story difficulty doesn't appear. Just normal.

Yeah on normal I can see it. I wasn’t kidding. There is hard and challenging difficulty for every mission in the game and the strongholds. The daily missions that reward specialization points are always played on hard and challenging. I wouldn’t play anything on normal after beating the game just because the rewards are better playing on the higher tier difficulties.

It works just like the last game. You can change your difficulty once you do them once on story difficulty. There is a screen to do it before you matchmake.

That screen is bugged most of the time though. Just like the rank levels of the control points, territory controls be bugged most of the time. Hell even the location of under ground tunnels be bugged a lot of the time, won't even show on the map. I hit level 440 last night.

Encountered a bug last night after I cleared out a control point, I couldn't move. I had to fast travel to 4 different locations before I was able to move again.

In the first game, I would highlight the story mission on the world map and change the difficulty that way. Always worked. In The Division 2, nothing happens. It just says normal. The rewards and items that I get have been good. No complaints with the loot or anything like that. But don't forget, I do play solo so there's definitely a difference between playing that way and playing as a group.

Just playing through the missions the second time, I ended up with a lot of specialization points. 24 for the grenade launcher and sniper rifle. 48 for the cross bow. I'm not upgrading every skill though as some I don't need at all.

Will jump back in tomorrow once I wake up and download the update.

Yeah, it was crazy. It came out of absolutely nowhere, right as I'm around the corner from the bounty I was about to attack. I couldn't see a damn thing, I had to wait it out before I could attack, otherwise I'd never be able to see any enemies to shoot them.

That was the one and only time I've experienced a dust storm in my 88 hours of playing, you said you only just encountered your first last night, and others have said they haven't seen it at all, so it must be an extremely rare weather event, as opposed to rain/storms that I seem to encounter somewhat regularly.

Here are some pics from the dust storm I encountered on Sunday afternoon. I was somewhere in Constitution Hall, about to attack the bounty to liberate that district. It came up out of absolutely nowhere. It's also the one and only time I've encountered a dust storm in 88 hours of gameplay.

Oh god I love the beginning of the DZ West Recon mission, when you have to defend checkpoint as a bunch of Outcasts try to rush you while it overrides. They kept coming in groups of 3-5 so I'd just shoot and blow up the suicide bombers and you'd just see bodies flying in every directions as everyone else around them got blown up to hell as well. I probably killed at least a good 15 enemies simply by blowing up suicide bombers that were next to them. [emoji1]

I was doing a bounty as well. Wonder if it might have been the same one and it was specific to that person? I can’t remember who it was though

Ricky.....I did that on two separate missions (the first two to be exact) in the second run. It didn't expand the list at all. It just stayed normal. Nothing else expanded or appeared.

Wait...do you have to complete the mission on normal FIRST and then, the other difficulties open up? If so, that's why.

Interesting. I don’t think I’ve done anything on normal. I could have sworn I did everything on story difficulty first time through. Maybe I’ve just played so much I didn’t even realize I did them on normal too. I guess try what you’re saying and see if that opens up hard and challenging difficulties.

My first one hit me tonight as I was doing a side missionn. I was scaling a building via scaffolds and had to battle it out on the roof top as it was blowing in.
