    Re: The Division 2

I'm really fascinated to see how the map expansions work. Tidal Basin seems like they'll just build off of the current map to include stuff like Jefferson Memorial, MLK Memorial, FDR Memorial, etc., but I feel like the Pentagon update in the future might be different. Expanding the map to the Pentagon would be a huuuuge addition; I wonder if we end up just teleporting out to the Pentagon for a few missions rather than adding Northern Virginia to the map. I hope I'm wrong because that would be incredible to expand that much but we'll see.

Episode 1 is DC outskirts so I would say anything is possible.

Definitely hope they add the MGM/National Harbor area as well.

Yeah, I keep thinking about how cool it would be to just expand down the Potomac, adding in the Anacostia-Bolling base, National Harbor/MGM, Reagan Airport, and if I were so lucky, Old Town Alexandria where I used to work.

I'm just blown away by the attention to detail in DC; I can't imagine them making the map that much larger while still maintaining that level of detail.

Thank you RNGesus! Making my daily rounds of the Control Point weapon and gear boxes. Just drew high end knee pads at level 17 from the Demolition Site in Downtown East.

At level 17 also and last night I picked up my first two high ends during a sweep of control points too. A marksman rifle that I'm struggling to use effectively and a mask. Starting to get the good **** now.

Yeah stuff really starts popping around level 20. Pretty soon you’ll be wondering why you were excited about that level 17 gold item.

So true. I remember being pumped getting my first piece of gear with over 1k armour or my first gun that did 1k damage per shot. Now I see snipers doing 10x that and instantly mark them as junk.

Yeah, I'm gradually getting there. Made level 18 last night and have over half the map done. But with nothing but mostly blue and a one or two purple weapons and gear, seeing some gold for the first time, from a Control Point chest no less, not even a mission boss or a dark zone chest like was the case for most of my stuff in the first game, it finally feels like I'm making some progress.

For those speculating on the next location, we may not need to wait for D3... there are some rumors out there about D2 going to a different city...

Quick question, I am at level 7, I am using my trusty MK17 which is a level 4. Should I be using a level 7 gun even though most of the level 7 guns I have, have less of a damage rating? Thanks!

Use what gives the most damage and gives the best attributes that fit your play style. A higher level don't always equal a better choice. I found that out early on.

i try and play w/ a variety of guns that are level appropriate and worry about the min/maxing once I get to the highest levels.

There are armor pieces that can give you + certain gun type damage too. If you have two guns that are close damage wise you might have a piece of armor that can put one of them over the other damage wise.

The MK17s typically seem to be a lot better than other guns so they hold up well with higher level guns.
