Re: 2019 Gaming Plans
Currently Playing
NBA 2K19 (offseason going into year 2 with the Hawks)
RDR 2 (end of chapter 3)
RDR is all time classic for me I'm still just in chapter 3 as I am taking my time and going slow. I also didn't really get to play it for about a month due to vacations / Holidays etc. Now that all that nonsense is over I can get back to playing it on a nightly basis. I am also having a blast with 2k and I play it on a nightly basis. I will be playing 2k and updating my dynasty on a daily basis so I like to play 1 non sports game along with it.
Up Next
Spiderman
I've been really wanting to play Spiderman since launch I just didn't have the time to play it before RDR came out so I decided to wait till it was over. I just didn't expect it to take me till March to finish RDR. I think it will actually work out good as it gives me a top quality game to play after it
Backlog
GTA 5
Detroit Become Human (2nd time)
Uncharted Drake Collection (2nd / 3rd time)
Batman Telltale - 1st season
Batman Arkham Collection (2nd / 3rd time)
Yakuza Kiwami
Horzion zero dawn (2nd time on new game +)
I enjoyed GTA 5 on the ps3 just for whatever reason didn't finish and haven't got around to playing it all the way through. I picked it up for 10$ recently so it will prob be a summer time game for me. I loved Detroit and cant wait for a 2nd play through now that its been several months. I loved sleeping dogs so I want to try Yakuza since it was free.
2019 Maybe Purchases
Latest Tomb Raider
Days Gone
Call of Cthulhu
Far Cry New Dawn
At this time I don't have plans to buy anything new till at the earliest the summer time. Once I get done with the two major non sports game RDR / Spiderman I want to use the rest of the year getting caught up on other games and replaying stuff. Since It takes me a while of real time to finish a non sports game I want to give myself plenty of time to play these before ps5 comes out.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans
Update from post #20.
- Quit Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise two thirds through. Simply had enough of it. Also eliminated the Spider Man DLC. Just not going to bother.
- Completed Nier Automata, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Darksiders III. All great 8.5/10 games for me. Enjoyed Darksiders III the most. Prefer the story and characters in Yakuza Zero over Kiwami 2 but not by much.
- Picked up NSMBUD for Switch yesterday and beat it last night. Will trade in on Monday. Great 8.0/10 platformer but I don't see any 2D Mario game ever surpassing SMB 3 or SMW for me.
- Played the REmake2 demo last night. Can't wait for the full game!!!
- With about two weeks until REmake2, I will try to eliminate some more of my backlog from last generation. Thankfully, majority of these games are short and linear.
- Overall, 12 days in and already packed and stacked with so many games and im just getting started.Last edited by peter42O; 03-03-2019, 01:02 PM.Comment

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans
can someone recommend me a PC game. I think I want to get a racing game. I'm looking for something that has an easy but deep career type mode (something beyond just exhibition or quick races). Doesn't have to be too sim as I'm not an avid racing fan. Has to be easily controllable using a controller (I'm not going to go buy a wheel). Be very visually appealing! I just re did my entire PC (new GPU RTX 2070), new CPU (9700k), New MOBO, new monitor - 4K) and I want to get the visuals looking RIGHT!! I've been watching videos of F1, Assetto Corsa Competizion and Nascar Heat 3. What are other good options?Comment

As for my 2019 gaming plans, only have a couple on my list as gaming isn't the same for me anymore.
1. The Division 2 (Comes out on my birthday!)
2. Ghost of Tsushima
3. Call of Casual, the yearly release unless it doesn't have a Blackout-ish modeOriginally posted by OriolesfanRD Favorite Teams- Baltimore Ravens

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans
The last game I finished was Firewatch. My backlog has backlogs. Anyyyyyway....
Currently playing FIFA 19 and Spider-Man.
Picked up on the Steam winter sale: Civ VI, Age of Decadence and Into the Breach.
I also have NHL 19 and NBA 2k19 ready to be my active sports game when I’ve had enough of FIFA.
My PS4, PS3 and Steam list is almost as long as A&S’s. Like many in this thread, I plan to stay out of the checkout aisle for 2019. I have plenty of great games to revisit and potentially great games to start. To that end I have unsubscribed from every gaming podcast except Press Row.

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans
I finally got around to playing and finishing Detroit: Become Human. I without a doubt did not get the "best" ending but it wound up telling an incredibly poignant story. I resisted the urge to restart any of the chapters and let things ride out and was pleased I did. This is one I will 100% play again to not only avoid making certain mistakes but to try some new things.
I'm finding games in the 10-15 hr playthrough time to be a really nice sweet spot for me. My "time suck" games continue to be the various sports titles that I can play in sorter spats during the week and then I can spend longer chunks of time on other games on weekends (the 10-15 hr games allow me to wrap up a game in a couple of weekends).
Not sure what is going to be up next. I'm thinking it will either be The Council or Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I've also never played through the Uncharted Series (I own all 4) and from what I see online, each of those games nicely fall into that 10-15 hr window (with 4 being a bit longer).Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Awesome. I picked that game up super cheap on the PSN flash sale. I also love those 10-15 hour games.
You should definitely play through the Uncharted series and play it on easy. It is a fun ride. The story telling is AAA. The platforming is also AAA. A great series. 2 and 4 were my personal favorites and I have yet to play the Lost Legacy which I want to this year.
I finally finished off FC5 and RDR2 I poured tons of hours into those two games and am ready for some short and sweet story driven games for a little while before I dive into another sandbox game (I love sandbox games just love them but they are a huge time sink for me because I do all the side quests and really adventure around the maps all the time. I am search rat. I love to explore every nook and cranny). Now Playing on PS5:
