Our team identified that the service that was most difficult for players with inconsistent connections was the one that enabled matchmaking. With this new update, players who cannot maintain a sustained connection to matchmaking services will still be able to play solo PvE without being disconnected.

These players will still have all of the functionality of the game except access to multiplayer modes. While in this mode, your Friends List will appear empty.

The game will regularly re-test this connection in the background without impacting your play. You will be able to manually trigger a re-test of the connection by initiating matchmaking in multiplayer modes" https://mp1st.com/news/ghost-recon-b...tails-revealed

Interesting. So maybe I could connect with my wifi hotspot and then once the game starts try turning in off to save Data and still be able to play? Or maybe it will use minimal data and I can just play the new mode solo.

Worst case scenario maybe one of you fine gentlemen can test it for me and then I will pick it up. This new mode sounds like its more what I was looking for. Still playing WildLands.

I own wildlands and completed all the missions on the map. How does breakpoint differ? I've watched videos and they look similar.

Finally starting Breakpoint tomorrow as I have been waiting for that patch. No more crappy gear score, stamina, etc. I can finally play the game lie how I played Wildlands. So looking forward to starting tomorrow!!!

Time to get back into Breakpoint. I liked it at launch but stopped playing once i heard about the updates. Wondering if I should start from the beginning.

I picked it back up today from my previous save. Love the new mechanics. Going with the highest tactical difficulty with one primary weapon. Always felt side arms get undervalued when you have 2 primary weapons.

Probably going to restart. I wasn't that far in anyway from a main mission standpoint and only had 4 waepon blueprints.

                    Re: Ghost Recon: BreakPoint

The beta completely turned me off, so this is my first time playing the retail version of the game. I opted for the two elite settings and a HUD option where marking is still active.

This feels like Ghost to me. It would still be nice to have squadmates when playing offline, but that was never a deal-breaker for me. Removing the gun levels was a lot more important.

The biggest issue for me is the menus. The design isn't difficult to grasp, but it's way too busy. It also takes too long before all of the ins-and-outs of it are explained to you. The first few hours of the game drag because of this, and that's all it can take to make people stop playing. Ubi did itself a disservice by how they handled that.

I've finished the first two chapters of the story and it's interesting so far. The Jake Skell rescue mission was a lot of fun. If I can expect more of that, I think I'll continue to enjoy this one. I'm glad that Ubi decided to make some tweaks.

Ubisoft always forever update their games. One can just look at Rainbow 6 Siege, The Division, The Division 2. Give it a year and they would have updated it over a dozen times and the game will be almost completely different. They are never afraid to try things. If it don't work out, they will just keep improving it until the masses like it.

This game needs squadmates like they promised and should have never been contaminated with the Division litter.

Trading assets between Rainbow6 and Ghost Recon always made sense, and they could probably add some splinter cell (real stealth) stuff in there, but no need to go overboard.

I picked this up for $15 after following it for a little bit. I waited until the Immersion Mode update came out, glad I did. Not a fan of gear score stuff.

Played for a couple hours last night, put it on the second-hardest difficulty off the bat. I loved Wildlands and the AI squad. I'm cool so far being on my own for this game, though would love squadmates too. Early impressions is the game is challenging on harder difficulties even though the AI seems meh overall. But I think this game should scratch that "tactical shooter" itch between playing games like COD, The Show, etc.

Agreed, I started playing again last night in Immersion mode because the normal mode has way too much **** going on. Definitely found it to be a nice mix, basically turned most everything off, playing on one of harder difficulties as well.

I've thought about leaning into it and going into the "non-guided" mode where there are no objective markers and you have to read the clues to actually get places. But I only have limited video game time these days even with quarantines so I'm not sure I want to make it harder than it has to be LOL
