Here's one strange game story, but what a whacked out RPG this is and it's coming out next year.

Publisher 2P Games and developer NEKCOM Games announced the road movie-style action RPG, Showa American Story, will launch for the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in 2025.

Post-apocalyptic "Showa America" and "A teenage girl revived from the dead"

Showa 66, Japan has bought out most of the United States with its strong economic power. A surge of immigration has firmly planted Japanese culture within the American continent. Two cultures are rapidly amalgamated, although conflicts are inevitable, citizens gradually adapt to a life never imagined as time goes by.

However, a mysterious catastrophic incident changes the world drastically. The social order is long gone. An unknown amount of time passes, a teenage girl mysteriously revives from the dead, only to find a brand new wild post-apocalyptic world with zombies, monsters, and human survivors of different backgrounds and beliefs.

What happened to me and the whole world? With many questions in her mind and trying to find answers, Choko embarks on an adventurous journey across the United States that will change her forever.

Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Fool’s Theory announced the character-driven RPG, The Thaumaturge, will launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 4.

The game first released for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in March.

The Thaumaturge is a historically rich, character-driven RPG set in 1905 Warsaw.

Wiktor’s story unravels the secrets of his troubled past alongside those of Warsaw’s eclectic residents, representing every facet of the city’s society. This game always missed the mark imo. They're on the verge of a grand game, just needs a bit more of an intricate combat system. This game, mixed with Shadow of Mordor type combat would be game of the year no doubt about it. In many cases, it seems like the average joe has the idea (a very obvious one) that would catapult a game into the stratosphere but for some reason the devs miss it somehow. Being the smart guys that they are, that always confuses me, gents this is a no brainer lol. Well, one can dream I suppose.
