Something that will hurt the launch of the Xbox 2 is the fact that there won't be an NFL launch title for it. Like they had for Xbox and NFL Fever. I know I won't be rushing to the store to buy one if they don't have any professional football games to play on it.

EA is said to have two titles ready for Xbox2 when it launchs. Madden 2006 will be one of those titles, the only thing thats unknown is if its going to be a port from PS2/Xbox or will it be made from the ground up on Xbox2.

That being the case, I sure hope EA develops it from the ground up for Xbox 2. I think of how bad NFL2k2 was on Xbox when it first came out, due to that stupid porting bullsh!t from PS2. It's a bummer that now Sega has really learned to use the Xbox hardware to make a beautiful NFL video game, they lose the NFL licensing rights. Life is so unfair. And on top of that, you die when it's over.

This is not gonna happen. Prepare to get a weak port of all EA games. Unless something has changed EA is definitely "in bed" with Sony. I wouldnt be surprised if EA went exclusive with Sony at some point. But I dont see that happening just yet. Too much money for EA to make on both consoles. All that being said I would be shocked to see EA put out a new better version of Madden 06 for the Xbox 2 and leave the PS2 in the dust. They'll probably add a few new features but the core game will be the same.

This is not gonna happen. Prepare to get a weak port of all EA games. Unless something has changed EA is definitely "in bed" with Sony. If Xbox 2 is somehow less powerful than the PS2, then Microsoft will have really screwed up.

Does your "feeling" come from the fact that the ps3 might come out a year after the xbox2?

I doubt if the PS3 will be more powerfull. Sony makes they're products to break down after a certain period of time. Say..2-3 years then you must get a replacement or fix. Then they have a knack for leaving things off the original console so it could be sold as a seperate accessory. Network adapters, keyboards, headsets, multi-tap...just some examples. They intentionally leave those accessories off so they can make more money. Sony is notorious at doing that.
