    Re: Dying Light 2

Was Dying Light the game that GameStop screwed up selling DLC for? I think it was lol. I remember a coworker calling me one morning to tell me if you purchased the $20 DLC through GameStop digitally, they accidentally sent you a code for the actual game…and it worked. Even better, a few days later they’d send you an email apologizing with a code for the DLC lol. So for $20 you’d get the game and DLC, if you were lucky enough with timing of it all.

Having said that, I don’t think I actually ever played the game lol. How does the first one run on PS5?

        Re: Dying Light 2

Dying Light was one of my all-time favorite zombie games. The atmosphere and presentation was excellent. Being up high was legitimately disorienting and intimidating, and night movement was intense. The best weapons were definitely of the melee variety, forcing you to get up close to the enemies, but the advanced bow and the variety of arrows was equally as viable. They were easy to craft if you saved up as much supplies as I did.

My expectations for the sequel will go down tremendously. It doesn't look nearly the same, which I perfectly understand, I just don't think the things I loved about the first game will or could get repeated. On its own I hope it's fun, but they can't equal the first.

Personally, my expectations for Dying Light 2 is that it will surpass the first game in every way. Visually, it looks great, audio seems to be real good, combat is vastly improved over the first game as is the parkour and overall gameplay.

The story/characters is more like an action RPG with dialogue choices and decisions to be made that affect the world as you progress through the game.

Watching the 16 minute gameplay video that I posted several posts above, everything looks real good with no complaints and that was from late October preview event. I'm really looking forward to this game. And it's only five weeks away!!!

I hope it isn't 40 hours fun and than grind. Would be happy with 30- 40 hours to complete. I don't know can u top Dying light. It was one of the best coop games. Parkour was amazing.

Its like 20 hours to complete main story then another 80 hours to complete side missions, etc.

Not surprising at all. They released DLC (a new game mode) in the fifth year of Dying Light, and the have still been running in-game events for it.

I appreciate what Techland is doing with the Dying Light series.

Several YouTubers are currently playing a review code build of Dying Light 2 and have been permitted to showcase a side quest. Will post each one that I can find. As far as I know, it's several different YouTubers. Obviously these videos CONTAIN SPOILERS for the respective side quest as well as the skill trees and world map so watch at your own discretion. Will post the YouTuber and their respective video underneath. Each side quest runs for about 45-60 minutes. Any additional time like in OniZombies video is answering questions in the live chat as it was live streamed.

Gonna quote this again and add that Techland has released a limited time event in the original Dying Light today: https://www.pcgamesn.com/dying-light...ted-time-event

This is year seven of the game, with Dying Light 2 due it in less than two weeks.
