Re: GTA Creator Unveils All Points Bulletin -This could turn out nicely

    Coming in 2007

Created by the man who gave the world the Grand Theft Auto series, APB takes GTA's gang-banging gameplay and batters it into an MMORPG.

You'll be able to choose whether you want to play as a gang member or a cop, and then develop squads, alliances and rivalries as you attempt to rule the streets of your city. The chocies are unlimited - as a gangster you'll be able to customise your clothing, spray graffiti on your turf, jack cars and raising cash through crime, while the cops will be out to catch as many crims as possible so they can upgrade their weapons and equipment. APB truly is the biggest game of cops and robbers we've ever seen!
Discover news about Xbox and reviews on the latest and greatest Xbox titles, courtesy of the Gamesradar+ team.

    I. UNRESTRICTED LIBERTY, ULTIMATE FREEDOM.

APB is a genre-breaking game unlike any other in the MMOG market in which Gangs commit crimes and Law Enforcement try to stop them, resulting in dramatic chases, shoot-outs, busts, escapes and arrests. A wide range of action-based activities are supported. Those winning an encounter gain status and cash, and the cash can be spent on advanced weapons, vehicles and other kits. Players can carry out these activities individually, or band together into groups.

    II. PERSISTENT TURF WAR.

Both Gangs and Law Enforcement will continuously attempt to capture key areas of the city and expand their spheres of influence. These ‘turf areas’ offer access to the best gear, while persistently displaying their owner’s status and symbols. Territory is vulnerable 24/7, with players constantly engaged in battles for control. For periods when they are not online, players must upgrade their defenses changing turf features or equipping AI adequately or run the risk of losing their turf to a rival Gang or Squad. Capturing multiple turf areas gets progressively harder, but provides correspondingly better rewards.

    III. FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE GAMING EXPERIENCE.

Gangs of APB live and breathe graffiti, attitude, customized cars and earning cash any way possible. Law Enforcement up holds honor, teamwork, advanced weapons, and the destruction of the Gangs. Players will determine how their characters live and grow in the APB world without typical MMOG leveling-up constraints. They’ll create the ultimate customized online experience with vehicles, weapons, clothes, music, attitude, and environment. From tailoring characters’ looks to creating catalogues of shared elements to defining their identity, every crew can have a unique, custom look from hair and clothing down to the way they walk, talk and the music they play.

I just hope that it just wont be one huge gun fight. I would like to be able to actually drive around without the constant fear of dying all the time.

      Still sounds awesome though.

      Thanks,

          Damn, this sounds pretty sick.

If I ever got into such an intense rivalry, i could see myself setting my alarm for like 3am, getting u, signing on and working my *** off to take over their turf while it's just their "defenses" and not actually them.

You know if I ever get online and all that crap (along with an X360) I could imagine myself driving around as a gang member in Detroit or something like that.

I'm sure there'll be an OS gang or squad.

LOL, if they accurately made the city and you had lived in it, you could rob your own house. LOL.

I could see it now. Like 15-20 of us riding around, killing people and painting "OS" on everything we see.

Wow, sign me up for this. This sounds like its right up my alley. I can actually see people dying in real life from sleep deprivation, etc caused by this game. It will be addicting I'm sure.

I think it's necessary for them to not make cars blow up from multiple bullets hitting the car. That's not realistic... cars blow because of something igniting a flammable/explosable substance, such as methane, oil, or nitrous oxide.

On the other side, you should be able to be hit inside a car from a bullet going through a window and into you. So, it should all pan out hopefully.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
