What's the game about? Calling APB "online multiplayer cops and robbers" might be selling it a bit short. It's more like "massively multiplayer cops, bounty hunters, SWAT teams, car thieves, arsonists, murderers and robbers who all moonlight as fashion designers, auto detailers, and tattoo artists." Blinging yourself out, drawing flaming skulls on your car, and just generally making yourself look distinctly, individually badass seems like it'll be as much fun as capping a bunch of guys for messing with your turf. APB is looking more and more like Spore for asskickers, except with, you know, an actual game in there.
What's new for E3? The most interesting addition since I last saw the game has to be the music editor, a mod-tracker like tool that lets you make up your own tunes. The most awesome being a "kill tune" that will play in your enemy's ear when you cap them. In the example I saw, the demoer played Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust," but I can easily imagine remaking the cast of, say, the Facts of Life and using the show's intro. It's be more than a little humiliating. Hell, Realtime Worlds CEO David Jones mentioned one group who recreated the Scooby Doo gang, complete with the Mystery Machine and theme song. Hopefully Realtime Worlds won't have to deal with anything like the lawsuit Cryptic endured over player infringement in City of Heroes.
The other news is that APB will feature an in-game auction house not only for the sale of dropped loot, but for player designed graphics. It's sure to make for some interesting shopping, but I can't help being concerned that policing the city won't be nearly so hard as policing all the player content. Additionally, Realtime Worlds is considering implementing microtransactions, either for purchasing in-game items, or for acquiring in-game currency for use in the auction house. It seems more like they're just flirting with the idea for now, so it may not actually happen.
What's our take? Still a pretty resounding "Holy ****." With dozens of crimes to pull or thwart, it's pretty much impossible not to look forward to preying on the city. Or preying on the criminals. Or just messing around making electric-yellow vinyl pants with a screaming skull on the crotch. APB's going to provide something to satisfy both your bloodlust and your vanity.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Definitely didn't see the video. That looks pretty great. The customization is nice. I wonder how easy it is for the console version to make my own guy. So far, everything that I've been hearing has been sweet about the game. Interesting that EA would help with marketing.Comment

Re: GTA Creator Unveils All Points Bulletin -This could turn out nicely
Watching that trailer, I'm not sure if this game would be atop my "to buy" list even if it were on PS3. Yes, it looks great and reminds me of what they should have done with GTA online, but that's exactly it... I think I can wait for GTA V to have both the single player stuff that I love and have improved online play somewhat closer to this with a living, breathing world around me, not just online players.
Nevertheless, you 360 guys are still lucky. I wonder what Agent will be like.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

It's only coming to the PC for now. Realtime Worlds say, "We're evaluating opportunities for a console port of APB but there’s nothing concrete to announce at the moment”.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
