Yes, can't wait. Regardless of reviews, seen plenty of gameplay to tell me this is my kind of game. There are so many masterpieces praised by reviewers that I have zero interest in playing. But SR is my kind of game, especially since they toned it down. Been waiting for such game for years.
But it will be a few more days until I get my copy, trying to be patient.

Fantastic idea....except for those of us who can't handle the freedom of sliders and get caught up more in changing them and making the game play right than actually playing.

Not saying they shouldn't do that though because that that I mention above is on the users who, like me, have issues with it.

I just limit myself to getting a set of sliders and spending no more than on hour messing with them. If I don't I get too caught up in the sliders more than the game.

I know what you mean. And it would be a good idea to have a couple of preset like Realistic/Arcade/Extreme, so you can just pick one and go with it if you don't want to make too many adjustments.

Yes exactly right! Great idea. I love sliders but as someone who left PC gaming for 15 years due to how I would go too far down the rabbit hole changing my PC, I have come to the realization I can start not seeing the forest for the trees anymore, so to speak, and get caught up in the sliders game more than actually enjoying a game.

So I am very careful when it comes to getting into all of that...you can lose yourself. I see others do it a TON here on OS as well...

Reviews are mediocre right now, but I've only seen scores. I've not read any reviews and likely won't. I learned a long time ago that reviews weren't for me.Plenty of games I loved that scored poorly, and plenty of games that were "10 out of 10"' that I thought were trash. Half the time they're just marketing and plenty of scores are bought. The game looks fun in videos. I will watch videos now that it is released and see for myself what I think, but I already know I will be buying this, it's just a matter of when.

Don't know if the version people are playing is with the D1 patch or not. I read someone said he downloaded an update, but who knows if that's the one.

I'm a big gamer review person. The bigger outlets are usually not fans of the game, or know every little lore thing to do, so I always wait for the fan reviews.

So far I am seeing this more of a 5.5/10 from fans, which is lower than the bigger outlets.

Fun
Wacky
Open World

Cons:
Bugs
Driving is mediocrity
Shooting takes a little long to kill
Bugs
Not as many NPC
Not many interiors to enter
Not as much to do as thought

I am still leaning on the, "not getting this" side of things, but I do really want to hear all of your reactions and reviews as OS seems to be one of the more neutral areas on the internet, lol.

Took off work today to play my mlb the show franchise, try and lock in some sliders for Madden and play this game some more.

Played a little bit yesterday and had fun.. I like the graphics in this one. My boss looked even better in cut scenes then I was expecting. When I created him in boss factory I thought that was the best I was going to get, but I was impressed with what they did. The world looks great imo. I did turn the resolution to 4k on the PS5 with hdr enabled so not sure how it would look on last gen or on other settings.

Shooting took awhile to get used too, but something about it was still fun. Was not feeling the controls at first because for some reason my y axis was inverted. Settings fixed that quick so there might be other options for people to tinker with. I could see people not liking the controls coming from different games, but all it takes is time for it to click imo.

I actually like the story. I never played another saints game, but as long as you don’t take it so seriously there will be moments where the humor really hits. I was still chuckling about the little one liners and pieces from the cut scenes this morning.

I don’t read the reviews. Just try and have fun and when you need a break play something else. I haven’t ran into any bugs so far and I’d say it’s worth the admission even though admittedly I’m still very early.

Well, it is open world. It takes you as long to complete it as you would like. Someone did the story and "most things" (whatever that really means) in about 13 hours.

I know someone who got the game early, they are 30ish hours in and maybe halfway through the story.

It's all perspective. If you like Saints Row 3 & 4, you'll like this. If you're a big 1 & 2, it'll be fine, but not exactly what you were hoping for.

Sadly pretty much anyone who posts positive comments about the game on YouTube gets trashed. It got to the point that people who played the game and liked it, are made fun of by guys who never played it.

Prior to release there was an indication that it would sell well, hopefully it's still the case. Still waiting to play it, but now I want this game to succeed even more because if all the hate.

The game may very well not be good, I don't know yet since I haven't played it, but that's just where gaming is these days. People love just banding together to **** on things for whatever reason. I honestly don't get it. Even if the game is bad, I don't see the need for people to act the way they have towards the game. So many games face the same fate anymore and it is unfortunate. Unless a game is a masterpiece these days, if it is a semi-popular title at least with any hype, it will get attacked once it launches. And this only hurts the industry as there are some games out there that aren't amazing, but are better than perceived, but the way people attack games these days pushes people away from trying so many games.

I'm sure there is some validity to the complaints with this game, but it's hard for me to imagine it is anywhere near as bad as the reddit brigade and other similar groups would want you to believe.

Smh at people ****ting on reviews.

I know what I want in my games so I just watch gameplay walk-throughs as opposed to reviews. And I've been on this site long enough to know who I share similar perspectives with which also helps in making gaming decisions [emoji2377]
