      Re: Bothers In Arms

If I had to describe this game in one word it would be...

      INTENSE!!

Firefights are a whirlwind of confusion, firing, and 4 letter words...as it should be.

I just completed a mission...after SEVERAL attempts...where I commanded fire teams and had to hold off a large German infantry assault...THEN...had find a way to knock out a German Panzer. I had both fire teams lay down a suppressing fire on the Nazi foot soldiers, then..I had them distract the Panzer while I made my way to a supply of Panzerfaust.

THE AI IS SO SMART!!! If I didn't sneak undetected around the tank...that friggin tank machine gunner would get a bead on me and WOULD NOT LET UP until I was dead. Through a constant "duck, fire, and move" technique I finally knocked out the Tank and got the most satisfaction I had ever gotten out of killing an enemy in a first person shooter.

This game truly sets itself apart from the sea of first person shooters available. I wouldn't even call it a shooter...I would call it a recreation more so.

      Amazing game.

Also...if you have a high end surround sound system and TV you will be treated to some of the best graphics and sound ever made on a console game.

When P-51s and Messcherschmitts go whizzing overhead it rocks the house. And when you are in a firefight with mortar blasts going off, machine guns rattling, and the sound of splintering wood filling the air...you will get a devlish grin on your face and realize this is the best 50 bucks (or less) you have spent on a game in a long time.

I finally got this game. It is pretty good. I'm playing on difficult with ALL visual aids turned off. Makes the game a ton better. I want to finish it an see how it plays in authentic.

The game is challenging, but not super hard if you've played a lot of America's Army. It does play a lot like FSW just a little less scripted and you do get to shoot your gun.

That mission was #$%@ing hard! It took me forever to realize you have resupply available for the p'faust. The mission after it is worse.

This game is the best game I've played since Knights of the Old Republic (the first one). I'm so depressed that I only have 2 chapters left but then again, I'm going to go back through it on authentic. Difficult is hard enough, seeing as how I have no aids on whatsoever. I try and keep my men alive until the end of the mission, which is, at times extremely difficult. I'll restart checkpoints if I lose to many. I've survied all but two without losing anyone so far. Great game! I played on-line for a while last night and thought it was pretty cool, but the offline play is still holding my full attention right now.

You know one thing that kind of bothers me, but is in no way a game killer is the fact that the bodies dissapear. It would just add to the effect if the bodies stayed and gathered small (or large depending on what gun you used) pools of blood. Also, bullet holes do not go into walls or wooden doors. Again, please don't flame me for saying this, as Brothers In Arms is now a close second on my all-time favorite game list behind Knights of the Old Republic.
