Forgot all about this one. They just completed a second beta test. The trick maybe getting to complete the over 200 licensed past and present fighters completed as they're promising. If Undisputed releases this year, its on my top of the list.

I think 2023 is the year that I finally go all in on leaving sports games behind.

Bought an Xbox 360 controller on Amazon and was kind of offended that I had to go to the "legacy system" portion of the video games section.

Yep, this is where I'm at as well.

I only play Madden and The Show and I am tired of Tiburons "brand" of football, and as far as The Show goes I would rather watch paint dry then to play the game let alone watch baseball.

I have been going through the PS library and stocking up on older releases since they have been having some really good sales....as an example I just picked up Last of Us 2 for $10.00.

I also have no desire to get a PS5 as I feel there are still games in the PS4 library that I have missed out on.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Same here. No sports games will be purchased by myself in 2023.

            Have all I need.

Reading through this though….adding this to my purchase list for January!!

You think it will be released on 3/1? And its still being released on consoles?

I find it weird that cant pre-order anywhere, for a game that comes out in under 60 days.
Some games don't have preorders, especially on PC. I don't think that part is too unusual. And they are doing hype videos at CES so I have to imagine if it was going to be delayed again, they'd know by now. It was delayed last June because they wanted to shift to Unreal 5. I suppose they could say in February it's still not ready yet.

It's also a small and relatively unknown publisher in MYTONA. How good it will be is the ultimate question. I've had fun with games like The Division and State of Decay 2, so if it is anything like those, it has potential.

I got it to run, but will wait 'till tomorrow, just a day anyway. But it is good to know I have it on my library forever (the original, not the Anniversary one) since inevitably one day my 360 will die and unless I get a new Xbox/X360 then my game disk will just be memorabilia.

I probably won't leave sports games behind, but this is probably the year I finally wise up and stop buying sports games before they go on sale.

Only sports game I'm buying this year day one will be The Show. I enjoy the game and I'm a baseball fanatic so I can't not get it day one. I just hope there are meaningful improvements to franchise mode this year as well as true next-gen graphics.

That's what I did in 2022. They're not even worth the trouble, anymore. The next sports game I get will be College Football in 2024.

I think even with that one, I’m going to wait on reviews from people whose opinion I trust around these parts.

I'm still heavily invested in my MLB 21 franchise; that it makes it easier to wait.

It just seems like - and this is mainly with Madden - it takes a few months to get the game where it needs to be, at least for franchise players. Might as well save a few bucks if I'm going to have to wait anyway.
