I called around and Walmart seems to have the most available. They received large shipments and gamers don't typically look there first. Interesting that they would get so many of those allocated.

Re: PSP: Not Flying off the shelves??
The price point is just too high for me... I mean, I know you can take it with you and all, but it's a PS2 on a small screen. Four hundred bucks for one of those bundles seems steep... IMOSweet Mary Jane with eyes like the rain and alive to the sound...Comment

Re: PSP: Not Flying off the shelves??
It will sell.
Give it 2-3 weeks and we'll be hearing about the great success story that is the PSP. Hell I have a feeling a sizable minority will be older business types as I saw a story about the PSP on launch day from CNBC. They were touting the ability to use the PSP as a GPS adaptor and for business use.
BTW Sony is prepared to ship out a million more units if the 2 mil. units they released on launch sells out quickly.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: PSP: Not Flying off the shelves??
I would have bought one if it didn't cost 250. I don't want the Value pack, I just want the standard unit. So when that is released, I'll be buying one.
Thanks,

Re: PSP: Not Flying off the shelves??
Everything was gone after the first day in my area. I got mine out of lUck. fRIDAY AFTERNOON I went to Fred Meyer to buy THE Lord of the Rings EE. And just out of curiosity I asked the guy if they had any PSP's. He told me that they just got a box in 5 minutes ago.Comment

Re: PSP: Not Flying off the shelves??
I have a feeling that they are selling well, but the allocation to the bigger retailers has skewed this perception a little bit. We will certainly know more in a week or two, and whether major retailers still have stock on-hand.Comment
