I think I have 2 of those added all ready but I'll check. I'm not in HoO because I didn't realize I had to get in right when I created...I can deal

I'm up to 31 now, it's so fun. I love how leveling moves much quicker than the past, it would have taken me a lot longer to get to 31 on vanilla WoW back in the day.

      Re: WoW OSers?

Anyone have any plans for Tuesday? Anyone going hardcore and going at midnight? I'm stuck in the UK so I'm getting my buddy to buy me a copy and email me the code. I have a busy week this week as well so I'll probably just play here and there.

Since the patch though I've been a lot more interested in levelling alts (and eventually a Goblin/and or Worgen) then levelling my 80 Warrior to 85. I am in no rush to get to 85.

        Re: WoW OSers?

I already pre-ordered and downloaded the digital version. I stood in line for Wrath and swore I'd never do it again. All I am waiting for is 3AM Eastern Monday night/Tuesday morning and I'll be doing it at home.

I am definitely going to hop right into leveling my hunter but I know what you mean about having more interest leveling alts. I leveled my bank alt, a warlock the past couple of weeks to 65 and can't wait to start a mage. This was my first time going through the new Eastern Kingdoms and there are some great quest lines. I had so much fun I had leveled to almost 63 before even starting Outland quests.
        PS: You guys are great.

          Re: WoW OSers?

I pre-oredered and downloaded the digital copy as well. Not sure if I'll get much play time in Tuesday morning before work but will be starting a Goblin Mage (I think) ASAP. All of my alts on alliance and I've grown tired of that side. So for Cata I'll be starting fresh again.

How's it going on the Horde of One server? I'm still trying to decide on a server to start my Horde on.

I have a long work week, so I'll be on here and there. Definitely not going hardcore.

Not well at all. While the guild was a great idea, it is being run by incompetant people that were selected into an officer role because they can were forum trolls during the start up process.

They are all egotisical, self centered, powerhungry idiots that dont know how to run a guild or treat anyone with any respect whatsoever. I was the first 80 of course, but was asked to leave because I leveled too fast....however an alliance officer dinged 80 about 14 hrs after me and they think he is Jesus. They got mad because I wouldnt "donate" 2500gold to the guild bank for the purchase of their 5th tab so they could store lvl 1 junk as well.

Another prominent member was booted because he actually went out of the way to help people, so people started asking for his help versus the officers since they are a pile of doodoo. He was booted because they saw him trying to " force" himself into a leadership role lol.

Fug that guild. Met some great people, but the leadership has already doomed it from the start.

I noticed that in the little bit of time I was on, so I left the guild a few days back. The re-roll guild was a good idea but was poorly executed. I'm heavily leaning on joining some family and friends on Thrall.

Grats on 80, definitely one of the fastest I've seen even with the RAF.

Always the best thing to do, imo. I'll never transfer or level anywhere as long as my friends are on the server I'm on now.

I did it in 3 days 8 hours total. I could do it faster with in the old world, but I guess with the 20% exp reduction in Northrend it balances out. Seems the instances had mobs buffed, but fewer of them to balance it out, which hurt my leveling speed. My biggest issues came at lvl 45+ since ZulFarak was changed a bit and Scholomance is a lower level zone now ( which I used to pound out 45-55 in no time there ). There was a change to TBC zones as well. I would usually hit Bloodfurnace at 55 and it would take me only 3 runs there to knock out 5 levels, but that got changed to a min level 58 to enter now and I didnt know that until I tried to zone in.

                        Re: WoW OSers?

What I decided to do was /quit the guild and myself and 2 friends researched servers for a couple of hours and decided on Zuljin server.

We went to wowprogress.com and looked at server rankings for guilds and activity and Zuljin was #13 on the list and had a 1:1 ratio of horde / alliance. Most of the top 10 were all pvp servers and had about a 1 / .01 ratio so we ruled those out.

The reason server rankings matter is because it shows you the activity of the guilds and raid scene. Whereas on quite a few other servers there are really only 1 or 2 guilds you can get in if you want to see relevant content, these servers have many more options...so thats what I went with.

I love to play with friends, but with everyones RL schedule changing as we grew older, all of our playtimes changed and it was hard to keep in touch unless by facebook. The 2 that I still play with on a regular basis decided to roll new Cata toons on Zuljin, so I will as well.

Yeah, the server itself wasn't bad. Just the way the guild was run. Like I said earlier, I'm heavily leaning on going to Thrall server with a couple friends and family members who have been there awhile. It's a horde ruled PVE server and on the east coast. Don't know awhole lot more than that though.

I think I am gonna fire this puppy back up today. I've been pondering it in my mind to do it or not for the last month or so.

My question for some of you vets is. I deleted the original WOW off my HD and am not sure what I did with the disk. I found my WOTHLK disk so i am good there. Do I need to re-purchase the original WOW? Does the new release tonight contain everything I need to get fired back up? Also will this new release only kick in after I get to a certain level?

Thanks in advance for all the help. DAMN I MISS PLAYING THIS. Lol!!!

Carpe Diem who was the second best guild on our server transferred to Zuljin. I've heard it's a good server, but don't know from experience. Good luck over there and let me know how you like it.
