Sorry I didn't do this before V-day, but for future reference. For guys in relatively new relationships, so you don't go overboard.

Don't spend a ton on flowers at flower shops. Next V-day, take yourself directly to Walmart and get a dozen roses for $9. Save yourself some money.

And go with intimate apparel...panties. They cost next to nothing and put her in the right "frame of mind." A gift that goes to her, but ends up being a gift for you.

Also get a V-day card for 49cents- $3. Doesn't matter how much the card is as long as your write some personal stuff inside.

So assuming you do nothing more than the above, all your V-day stuff costs $15-16.

Save the cash for a 360 game.
