ANOTHER BAD DAY!!!

Last nite my wife of 13 years told me that Im not the guy.She said you know how that special one lights up the room, its not me.She told me that hearing my voice on the telephone does not do anything for her either.She says that she stays at work to avoid coming home early.We were not fighting she came home and I asked her what was on her mind.Im 42 and we have a 11 year old girl.She is very worried about things and thinks she will be an orphan.I tried to find out what this all meant she told me it was 1000 percent her fault.Then after she said that, she proceeded to tell me 100 things I did wrong in 13 years.Im very confused and did not see this coming.I know this is a great sports board, Im hoping for advice.I should say that we have not cheated on each other.Im laying low in NY state.

Wow...it took your wife 13 years to say all this to you? Were there any warning signs at all? I mean I find it strange that she'd wait all this time to lay this on you. Normally when one has problems in a marriage they at least try to fix things up and not just say "well you're not the one". I mean how could it take 13 years to say that?!

I wish you luck and you should tell your daughter that it has nothing to do with her and that she will always have her mom and dad.

Yes I told daughter exactly that.She also said that she was faking it for a year.

Sorry to hear that one man. 13 years of your life wasted. I'd bust her s*** personally if I were you.

Let me take that back, we dont need no more guys locked up for domestic disputes. I'm pretty sure your wife has found someone else in her life and has finnally decided to let you in on it. Dont really know the entire situation but you dont waste 13 years with someone and then decide to say "You're not the one". Something in her life has changed and who knows how long, how many years she's felt like that. This really sucks man.

Anyway, there is no better feeling than being single if you ask me. You still got some responsibilites and she's unfortunately still be in your life due to your kid but you'll rebound.

in all honesty, it does sound like she has found someone else that, for the time being, is giving her all those things that she says you are not. I know thats gotta hurt but its probably some dude at work thats got a little swagger and makes her laugh. Its tough to make someone laugh after 13 years, because everything is used up at that point.

She probably try to come back to you after the new dude has moved on, then you can laugh at her and flash your new 25 yr old arm candy.

Is your wife considered a "milf" ?

Well just to tell you my 11 year old was sitting between me and my wife when the wife gave me the news. My 11 year old was very upset thinking she was going to be an orphan. I calmed her down and told her that she will always have a mom and dad.I did not see it coming wish the wife had waited till later!

I'm really sorry to hear that, bro...i can only imagine how you're feeling right now.

Just at first thought, there must be some sort of communication issue between you and your wife....like someone said, maybe counceling would help. From what I hear (not married, only 25), marriage takes work to keep together, it's not always easy. Not sure if any counceling is an option though, your wife would have to agree.
