lol All I can say I would hate to be your wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Sure what she said was wrong and there is no excuse, but things happens. And you move on. But if you don't see that, that is cool. I am just saying when you reach the boiling point watch out. It is wrong and an adult should know better, but it happens! People say and make mistakes daily.

Saying "crap" in front of your kids or calling someone on the freeway a "jackass" and having your kids repeat it is a mistake. Ending your marriage in front of your 11 year old child is not something that "just happens". It's not a mistake that people make daily. Yes, the world is full of classless tactless people. But, you defense is mind-blowing.

      Senior Citizens are raped daily.

      Children are kidnapped.

      People are murdered.

An adult should certainly know better... in some cases they simply made a mistake when they reached their boiling point. But, I guess that's OK.

OH... and 11 year olds don't simply "move on"...

Which makes her an even bigger loser, being addicted to drugs while a parent. But I guess that's excusable in your bizarro world, too.

And as for my wife, she feels exactly the same way I do. In fact, she's more classy than me, elevates me to an even better level as a human being.

That is good about your wife, I hope the best for you two! But I am saying wehn someone is in a deep depression just know all hell can break lose! It did for me when I was in one!

              Re: ANOTHER BAD DAY!!!

I have to agree with PK and Clay on this one, hands down. I'm sorry Scott, you can keep thinking of reasons why her actions should be tolerated, but like the others have mentioned, ending a marriage in front of an eleven year old is disgusting, and completely inexcusable. My parents got divorced when I too was young. If I was present for something like that, it would have destroyed me. Luckily my parents continue to get along very well and have always handled these issues with utmost responsibility and maturity. This woman says she needs time to think about whether she should put her child in front of her own feelings. I think that's probably the worst part. Not only did she make this horrible scene in front of her child, she doesn't see what she did as wrong, and she "needs time to think" about whether she'll continue to act in a similar manner in the future. Completely classless. If this becomes a custody battle, which I can pretty much guarantee, Tommy should use all of this in his testimony. I have no respect for someone who would act this way, boiling point, chemical imbalance, whatever. There is no excuse. Unless you can prove beyond any doubt that she is legitimately insane, I don't buy it.

Scott, for the love of God, either mix in some other forms of punctuation, or cut out the exclamation points altogether. It's ridiculous already. I'm sorry to hear about your previous state of deep depression, but to assume that others have no idea how that can be, and to completely absolve someone who is deeply depressed from any guilt is completely ignorant and ludicrous. Tons of people are depressed, but do you seriously think that defense would hold up in court?

my feeling is that even if you "reach the boiling point", that type of conversation needs to be a private one - keep the kids out of it.. whatever the reasons were that she said it in front of the child, you risk the chance of perhaps scaring them for life ...

Depression and the like are legitimate, but they are NO excuse for any action beyond being pissy and moody all the time. What ever happened to people taking responsibility for their actions?

                        Scott:

Is "The Jerry Springer Show" a road map for your life? Some of your answers astonish me.

People aren't perfect. No one is. But adults need to have enough self-discipline, responsibility for their actions, and love and caring for their offspring to avoid such damaging statements in front of their child.

If they can't do that, then a vasectomy or tube-tying is recommended. Or industrial strength rubbers or diaphragms, at the very least.

It's sad or bad enough -- take your pick -- that this woman is f*cked up. But she shouldn't take her child along on her twisted ride. That's the definition of selfishness.

I don't have a child (I'm only 15) but to me the one rule that should govern anybody with a child is that the child always comes first. As a parent you should be willing to sacrifice yourself for the well-being of your child. This woman clearly isn't demonstrating this. Sure, many mistakes can be forgiven, but the utter selfishness to put herself and her problems ahead of her daughter is rediculous and will never be tolerable in my book. When my parents got divorced when I was younger, they had the class and loved us enough to continue being as good as parents as possible. And as far as reaching your boiiling point goes, a good mother would contain herself with any means necessary so that she wouldn't ruin her kid's life. I have no idea what this woman's problem, but she acted in a classless, disusting manner unfit of a parent and a spouse. Good luck Tommy.
