    Gaining Weight..

Ok, so basically I'm as skinny as you can possibly be. I'm 16, 5'7" and I barely crack 110 pounds. I eat ridiculous amounts of food every day, but it never shows. My diet isn't the greatest, as I do like to eat a lot of junk food and I have a soda with every meal and drink 4-5 sodas a day. I've pretty much concluded that my metabolism is high, but is there a way I can get around that and gain 20-30 pounds? Oh, no water either. I refuse to drink any water unless there is a ton of flavoring in it. So basically, I'm looking for a way to gain weight without drinking water. Any tips?

Why would you want to gain fat weight though?

It's better than being skinny for one. But I didn't really say fat or muscle, just weight in general.

People have a hard time believing that peole that are skinning have just as much insecruity then people being heavey! If you are eating a lot and not putting weight on. I don't know what to say you have a fast motabolism. and that is not easy. Maybe you can eat a full meal and drink a protein shake, that might help.

It is some what true, being skinny is hard too. Think about it when you see a big heavey person you think to your self man they are big.. Or if you see a real skinny man you say the same thing. You can only understand if you were skinny. I was in HS, so I can relate, but I was because I didn't eat.

Wow, you're the size of a woman.

              I was like 5'9 166 when I was 16.

Now that you mention it, I'm not strong at all. I don't really lift at all and I can only bench like 80-95 depending on the day I guess. So basically I'm as weak as normal 16 year-old could be, and it's pretty sad. Creatine a bad idea?

I was the same way in HS. Very skinny. Genetics probably. Only way to gain weight for some is to lift weights. If you eat all day long, that speeds up your metabolism. I usually had to eat something every 2 hours back then. You can try and eat like a pig at breakfast, lunch and dinner and not have anything in between. That might slow your metabolism down.

I know my metabolism will slow down in 10 or so years, but I'd like to gain weight now.

Creatine will gain you weight, but it's not good weight, just water and you'll deflate just as soon as you stop.

If you're really up to it, start lifting really hard. You'll not only gain muscle, but if you're that skinny you'll be cut.
