I picked up Animal Pak and Animal Cuts today. Anybody have any expierience with them. Ive heard great things, We will see though!

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 6'1 and was at 205 in Febuary. Got it down to 195 and bought Cuts and Pump.

Just started my 3rd week of cuts. Of all the reviews I read for cuts, about 97% were positive. For me, I haven't seen too much of a difference. I've been dieiting and cardio, weights very strict so its hard to tell if the cuts are really doing anything. My weight is at 190, but I think I could've gotten there without the cuts.

It does give me a nice boost of energy and I seem to be in a better mood throughout the day, but unlike everyone else who has taken them, I crash hard about 4 hours later. I took a pack at 4pm and was just falling asleep watching basketball.

Anyway, after this week I'm taking off for a week and then starting it back up.

Can anyone critique my Diet? I'm trying to see if I need to change things up in it..

Breakfast: 2 Scrambled Eggs, 1 slice of Whole Wheat Bread with all-natural Peanut Butter spread on it, a Banana, and 1 scoop of Whey Protein Shake.

Lunch: Half Sub Turkey Breast sub, just with Tomato slices, and Lettuce.

Snack: Some Almonds about 1/2 Cup.

Dinner: Half Chicken Breast (Grilled), with 1 Cup of Brown Rice (steamed), and a small salad... (some lettuce, tomatoes again)

late evening meal: 2 hard boiled eggs, with a few teaspoons of Low-Fat Cottage cheese.

I worked out late today around 8 PM and this was my post workout meal: 2 slices of whole bread with the all-natural Peanut butter, and 1 scoop of Whey Protein mix.

does that sound about right for my day? currently 140 lbs and trying to gain lean muscle and get a ripped look... anything glaringly wrong?

        Your diet is ****ing awesome.

I'd ditch the fat after you workout though (PB). Save the sandwich for a snack throughout the day.

Also I would add another meal in there, I doubt you have enough cals from what I'm reading. You're 140 and probably a hard gainer. I'd go a little bigger at first calorie-wise and if you put on a pound of fat you can probably lose it quick.

Like Stew said i think you just need to remove the peanut butter pwo and actually increase the volume (make breakfast 3 or 4 scrambled eggs, make dinner a full grilled chicken breast etc) but it looks pretty close to perfect to me. I'd add a multi vitamin and some fish oil as well just make sure all your bases are covered and also make sure you drink a lot of water.

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.

Thx for the advice, yeah right now I'm kind of maintaining in the 140 area... to make gains I think I need to add a little more... but it's tough for me since I'm not naturally a "eater".. I fill up on meals a lot more easily than most people.

I think I can probably squeeze a few more cals in the mid-day area, only problem is that's when I work and I only get a half hour lunch break so my options are limited... and believe me there are tons of fast food joints near where I work.. (Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Red Robin's, Chik'a Filet) So I'm having to fight temptation every day... ussually I just run over to Shop Rite and grab the healthiest Sub I can find... some times when I can afford it I go to subway.

been doing a lot of Ab Exercises... when I hit the beach I want to make the Girls melt.. still think I need to work on more definition in the abdomen. (been doing a lot of reverse crunches, side crunches, planks, twists) ... now if only I could bulk up the arms, and chest a bit more.

currently what I'm at now, hopefully I don't give into the temptation to go to those fast food places.. and lose what I've worked up for lol.

Only thing I'd recommend is more veggies. A little lettuce twice a day? No legumes or broccoli?

Yeah ussually I have a little more vegetable substance in my day.. like some Broccoli, Cauliflower, I'm big on Potatoes as well... today was just a bad day for veggies.. I didn't have a chance to run to the store. but I definitely need to improve on that..

and yeah I am actually trying to gain some mass, I guess I need to stomach up more of an appetite. Because eating a lot is not something that comes naturally to me... I guess I'll work on it gradually like Jonesy suggested by adding an extra egg or so here and there. maybe add an extra portion of meat...

I wish I had trouble eating enough...

6-3, 216, 9.6% bf (probably more like 12-13...got tested with calipers)

I want to be around 205...need to tell the gf to not bring any more food! She always brings good stuff and dessert. F'n kills me!

So what's the verdict on natty peanut butter? Is it OK in small doses if you're looking for more defined abs? I was always told not to completely remove fat from your diet, as your body does need some. Also, peanut butter supposedly has some of the better fats for you, poly and monounsaturated to be specific.

If you're looking for a more defined core, how many grams of fat should you be ingesting per day on average?

I'm 6'8, 215 and eat about 3,100 cals per day and I eat 4 tablespoons of natty PB each day. My abs are progressing nicely (finally really cut back on boozing) so I don't think it's detrimental at all.

Same here. I typically have natural peanut butter on something throughout the day. That has been the hardest part of my diet is not overdoing peanut butter. I used to be OBSESSED with it, as it i'd have it on toast for breakfast, a peanut butter and jelly for lunch, and occasionally some peanut butter on something for dinner.

Honestly for body composition the breakdown of macronutrients isn't going to have a huge impact. You need certain basic #'s but the important thing is to monitor cals.

Unless you are trying to build muscle... Then you need between 1.5 to 3 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

Keep it to 1 gram per pound of body weight is a safe and easy way to go. No more than that. A lot of my text books are recommending 1.5-2.0 grams per kilogram of body weight if your lifting to gain muscle mass.
