Waking up WAY too early so I can head to the airport. Dealing with all the traffic at the airport, flying to Cali, with a stop someplace, and I'm not sure where. Going to my Aunt and Uncle's, sleeping for awhile. Then probably waking up, eating and watching the MNF game.

It mellowed out today. I heard some people say in a few spots yesterday the surf was double overhead. So you figure that's at least 10-12 feet. Today it was shoulder to head high, and fun.

Man, that's a dream Christmas right there bk... enjoy that man... catch some waves for me.

Are you just learning with the longboard? It takes some time to get used to... I prefer a short board... but longboards fun too.

I've been riding shortboards my whole life. That pic was right after I got my first longboard. Takes some time to learn how to not turn using the rails.

I have had a blast with the longboard so far though on the small days. So many more waves are rideable on small days with the Longboard. I should have gotten one a long time ago.

How has the weather in Carlsbad been lately?

The past couple weeks here in Huntington have been pretty cold (like 40's for most of the day, 50's the high) and windy. No way I would surf in weather like that, the waves get really choppy.

It's been cold in the morning, but warmer in the afternoons. It was 44 when I got to the beach this morning. But now it's in the low 60's I'd say.

No cloud cover at night to keep the heat in, so it's been really really cold in the morning. Did you get any of that rain the other day?

Only on Friday, it was raining like crazy in the morning until about 8:30, then it stopped completely.

                I was very disappointed.
