    Re: Your first car?

First one was a gold 1969(it was a '68, but for some reason was listed as a '69) Hemi Roadrunner. It wasn't in great shape when I bought it in 1982 but I worked on it. Just when I got it in really nice shape some idiot blew a stop sign and totalled me . I only got to put a couple of hundred miles on that car.

I then downgraded(money was the BIGGEST factor) to a 1972 hunter green Buick Skylark. I beat the crap out of that car. At the same time I got a '71 Roadrunner but sold it soon after. I miss those cars....Those Hemi's were MONSTERS! Blew those Chevy's away:winkstock!....none of that cheatin' now )

1997 Pontiac Sunfire. Decent car, but it eats oil like no other car I've ever seen.

2000 Toyota Camry which I still unfortunately drive. Saving up for the Mustang though. I go to Auctions every other week trying to get a deal on a Mustang. Hopefully soon enough.

First car 88 Mustang, still have the car, but now its just an occasional driver. My transmission went out on it on the highway, luckily I was in the inside lane and they had finished building the new lane but still had it closed so I got over without causing any wrecks.

                    1978 Chevy Nova.

I had to BUY it from my mother for $200. It didnt have a battery, thermostat and only 3 doors opened. It had rust holes in the front floorboards.

                    2 memorable incidents:

Taking my ex-girlfriend shopping and ran over a big mud puddle. Tried to center the car over it so I wouldnt wet my carpet that covered the holes in the floor. Misjudged it, black water shot thru the hole and sprayed me in the face. She laughed for 2-3 weeks everytime she got back in.

Taking my homie to school and we stopped to get soda at a store. We leave and as we continue further down the road.
I said, "I smell something burning! I hope it aint my car."

Kept driving and then I start to see smoke coming thru the floor. I lift up the remnant carpet to see a small fire. The carpet was touching the exhaust pipe and caught fire. Me and my homie both have to pour our soda on the fire to put it out.

                    Memories.....

My first car was a 1988 Saab. Great car for someone in high school. Once I got out of high school, though, it started to act its age.

My first car I personally bought was a 2000 Ford Ranger. It was cool to have a truck, being from Montana. It's like a requirement here. But the gas mileage I got was a joke.

So, once I graduated college, I bought a 2002 Honda Accord (V6). And I love it. Great car.
