I guess I see it both ways. But I hear you. Everything that I said has truth to it, it is just every body has made up there mind about it. I have given good reason, but know one wants to believe it and that is cool! Any ways I am done, this is a sad thing, but it happens. I guess the older I get, I realize that more and more. I feel for the families. I have had cousins die in shootings like this! So it does hit hard for me.

Who would want to be the girlfriend of a loser like that, anyhow? I'm sorry, but all of that rambling garbage that he spewed in his journals and whatever is just pathetic.

Sad thing is, I know someone exactly like this. I've mentioned him before. He was my "best friend" who ended up going out with my ex-girlfriend. He's sick. He's a pathological liar. He's one of those people who ramble on with big words and act all emotional for no reason. It's kind of scary because I have a feeling he has the capacity to do something stupid like this. Some of the things he's done and said over the years are just a cause for concern.

My main issue with people who are so depressed that they want to kill themselves (with situations like this I mean)... It's just like...go do it, but why are you so hell-bent on bringing other people down? Other people don't care about you, that sucks but hey, go do whatever to yourself, and don't involve other people.

          Get him some help.

And if anyone else knows someone they think might go off the deep end, get them some help too. We've been brought up to believe that it's not nice, or not PC, to call someone out for acting differently from us in an effort to get them some counseling or some help. But too many times, like in this most recent case, the writing is on the wall and nobody acts upon it to prevent (or at least try to prevent) these tragedies from happening. If someone is acting weird, behaving strangely, etc - do those they might hurt in the future a favor and tell someone. Better to be safe than sorry.

But that's exactly why they take other people down with them, revenge. It's a tale as old as time.

Emily Hilscher's best friend has said Hilscher was not Cho's girlfriend.

They were roommates and best friends and they were planning to meet in their dorm room Monday morning to go to chemistry class together. Emily Hilscher got there first and was killed. Heather Haugh arrived minutes later and became a key figure in the chaos unfolding on the Virginia Tech campus…

In an interview with The Times, Haugh said she knew of no connection between the killer and her roommate, or any reason why Cho Seung-Hui would have launched his deadly rampage on the fourth floor of West Ambler Johnston Hall.

“I’ve never seen him,” she said. “I don’t know his name. Emily didn’t know him, as far as I know.”

Haugh said that speculation that the killing spree was triggered by a domestic dispute likely stemmed from the fact that Hilscher’s boyfriend was an avid gun user. She said that when she was first questioned by police, “they asked if her boyfriend had a gun or something.”

Yep I agree. I think it is tough, because you never think that could happen, until it is too late. I had a kid that had major problems and we had to release him too soon from the program I work mostly because of money and just last month he killed his mother. We all knew he needed help, but we ran out of option when they close us down!

I've grown up with video games and so have many of my friends, I have not attempted and I've never felt any desire to get some guns and shoot people. Like other people have said, perhaps it is that violent people gravitate towards violent games, not that somehow a violent video game warps the mind of an otherwise normal person. And if you are going to blame it on any type of media, I don't know how you place the blame only on video games while ignoring movies, the news, art, and other things that depict violence.

This just keeps getting worse. Either the relationship existed only in the gunman's mind, or the poor girl was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe it's because that's who they wish they could be, not that video games have made them want to become scarface.

I don't talk to the prick anymore, but I've told people who do talk to him to watch out because he's selfish enough to do something like that. Personally, though, I don't care for his OWN well-being.
