      How about the reason ANYONE around their teenage years gets followed in a store. Shoplifting. That has nothing to do with tech.

      This race stuff kills me.

        Edit: This isn't the place for it, I'll leave it alone.

        If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

            Such a shame, too. There's really no reason for it.

              So just because I don't have kids, that automatically makes my opinion on this subject invalid? That's pretty cool.

                I don't want to sound harsh, but yes it does.

                You can't speak to something you know nothing about. Have a kid, raise him or her, and get back to us. It's been said many times before.....your life and priorities change in ways you can't even imagine when you have kids.

                I don't think any of us are coming down on you. The overwhelming majority here with kids believes they'd feel the exact opposite as you in the same situation.

                  maybe for someone of his age who probably still lives with his parents and doesn't have enough life experience yet is what makes it invalid. i'll be 31 in june and we have no kids yet but I do think I can speak on some things re: parenting issues.

                      I guess so. I still don't know if you guys are understanding what I'm trying to say regarding it, but it's cool, forget about it.

                      Regarding life experience;

                      You can't judge a person's life experience over the internet. I've been through more **** in my life at 19 years old than most people who have lived long, full lives.

                          Well, the FBI in MA got a threat on a school in Mass, or Providence, and since I go to Providence College we got an e-mail about it all.

                          Supposedly it was a false threat, and nothing has happened yet and doubt anything will happen, but it's just strange to see how serious they're taking all these now, when I'm sure they used to get a bunch and would keep them quiet.

                            Results of the investigation are out. Read for yourself, but it isn't a good one for VT.

                              Their report pretty much states the obvious. They had a guy who had shot and killed two people on campus already and regardless of whether or not it may have been domsetic abuse you don't just let people go about their daily routine when there's a killer who could've been anywhere.

                                "Despite the ... findings, there does not seem to be a plausible scenario of university response to the double homicide that could have prevented a tragedy of considerable magnitude on April 16."
                                100% correct. The truth is we have no way to know if locking the campus down would have made any difference. Who's to say Cho wouldn't have simply started shooting people in his locked down dorm building? For all we know that could have resulted in more deaths, not less.
