For those that have seen the movie Rush Hour, doesn't it seem that this dude look like that Juntao character?

That's the second thing that came up into my mind as soon as I saw those disturbing pictures..

Japan has some of the strictest gun laws in the world, yet the Mayor is shot down.

Point is...just because you have strict(er) gun laws, doesn't mean things will get better or change drastically.
Yes, it does. Japan also has a drastically lower gun murder rate.

To those who say that having guns on campus is not a good idea, it's mutually assured destruction.

The fact that they're showing these videos on the news is horrible for reasons stated before. Why give this piece of **** any attention? It's going to losers like him the idea that all they have to do is kill a bunch of people and they'll have all the attention and glory. This is SO, SO stupid.

That picture on MSNBC is DISGUSTING.

          **** this guy.

We had some discussions on ethics in Journalism today, I'm surprised they are running these pictures. While I usually am for running pictures of things such as wars, I am not for something like this where you give him any sort of attention.

Cool site right here. For those in a little bit of confusion about the timeline, this site lays it out nicely.

Co-sign. On another site, they equated this situation to when a jackass runs on the field during a baseball game. The cameras all pull off the field and focus on anything but the guy who so desperately craves the attention. But in this case, NBC/MSNBC are showing this crap in a sensationalistic, classless ploy to boost sagging ratings. Disgusting.

Screw this guy and screw NBC/MSNBC for giving airtime to his videos and his garbage "manifesto."

CNN.com is airing the video. I watched about 10 seconds of it and that's all I cared to see.

It is all about ratings. They know people want to see this! I don't, but we are probably the minority.

It's a curiosity thing, yeah, but what they need to realize is that it's giving the guy what he wanted, and that's something that should never be satisfied. And giving others the idea is something that should never be promoted.

Exactly. Making a big deal about "the deadliest school shooting" or crap like that just turns it into a competition for the deranged. The networks know this, but they don't care - they're milking this for advertising dollars. It's despicable, but as long as people keep reading and watching, they'll keep doing it.
