Steak sauce?!?! As Acid said, a good steak needs no sauce. I can't remember the last time I put anything on my steak...well, other than sauteed mushrooms.

I like mine medium well. And I use the steak's juices as a sauce. Sometimes I put a little Dale's on the plate as well.

A1? Might as well put ketchup on it.

The only time I put steak sauce on my plate is if the steak is overcooked and I can't bear to eat it. Safer to use the sauce than send it back imo.

              "Sauteed mushrooms....aghhhh..."

The only time I think I ever use steak sauce, is when I get steak that is way over cooked. Probably when majority of these guys in the thread are cooking them.

If you put A1 on your steak, you're just ruining it..

Well then consider me a "steak ruiner". But I just love the taste of A1.

I don't mind eating steak without A1, but most of the steaks I ate when I was younger were overcooked, so the A1 kinda covered it up. I've just grown so accustomed to it.

I guess I should try it without the A1 next time.

Used to get it well done, but now I go for medium-well.

A cheap or overcooked steak needs some A1, but a good one is perfect just the way it is.

Medium Well to well done. I've never understood why people like to eat warm raw meat.

I've put bacon and Bleu Cheese on my steaks too, but never A1.

For me having all that blood does nothing but ruin whatever seasonings were used on the steak, all I taste is the blood. Having it burned is disgusting too but I would rather have it cooked more than have a slab of bloody meat on my plate.
