10 years down the road when it is 120, we'll say, "I miss those day of the low hundreds." :-O

Oh yea. Good news is that at midnight, it was cooled down to a chilling 86 with a heat index of 89. For god's sake, this is North Carolina. It's not like we are in the tropics here. WTF!!! :>

Here in Eugene it has been beautiful the past few days. Low to mid 70's and sunny, and in the 40's 50's at night, great for sleeping.

Its been horrid in the midwest. I used to golf everyday around noon, and now go around 7:30 am instead, and its still near 90 by 8:30.

Been about 8 years since we've seen temps like this for this long in the Ohio Valley. Gotten up to 100 degrees the last couple of days. That doesn't normally happen. The high humidity along with this is the real killer. I stood outside for about 5 minutes around lunch today and I was sweating something awful. I can't say I envy the folks who are working outside in this. Still, it doesn't top the hottest I've ever been, which was in the parking lot of a Burger King in the middle of July of 1996 in Yuma, AZ. It was about 120 degrees. I thought I was going to die and that was probably a typical summer day there.

I'm not a fan of really hot weather so I don't mind the current conditions. The weather has been in the low 20's here the past couple of days.

It's good weather to wear a t-shirt and shorts in the afternoon but it's a little too cold for me at night to wear shorts.

This heat here near Springfield, IL is just awful. It's mid-90's all day, with "heat indices" near 105!

While the AC is nice, the fact that I can't take my hyper-energetic son outside w/o risking heat stroke is a pain in the ***. Not to mention the fried food awesomeness of the State Fair is this weekend and I'll have to drop $20 for hydration alone!

Did I mention how much it sucks to water the grass as well?

I hope this crazy heat wave breaks soon, it's getting damn annoying!

EDIT: And I have to mow the lawn this weekend...I HATE mowing the lawn with this humidity. My undershirt is damn near sheer when I'm done and all the neighborhood ladies can't keep their eyes off of me!

I much prefer the "dry" heat of Colorado where I grew up. Humidity is the devil's spawn.

You were in Pittsburgh earlier this week? Yesterday wasn't bad as it stormed all day, but earlier in the week the humidity was horrible. The only other time I felt humidity like that was when I went to Mexico. A 10 minute walk across the resort had me drenched in sweat. Same thing happened when golfing on Monday. After finishing the first hole, I was already sweating profusely.
