$80 a barrel.
Just when you think gas prices are going to be back to normal (normal as in $2.50 and under this day and age), BAM! Right back up to an all-time high of $80. Gas is back over $3.00. Just sickens me. Its sad nowadays gasoline is like a monthly bill you have to factor in.Tags: None -

Did you guys miss the news that OPEC is releasing more oil by November? Prices won't rise TOO much and will be steady for the hollidays unless something tragic happens.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Disagreed.
When you work 30 minutes from home, school 25 minutes from home and live in a city with pretty crappy public transportation, you don't have any options besides bend over and let them shove the gas pump right up your ***.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: $80 a barrel.
I wish we could go back to the days where it cost more to buy a footlong at Subway than to fill your gas tank. With the prices we had in '99/'00, my car would only need like 5-6 dollars to fill.Comment

Re: $80 a barrel.
Those were the days. The lowest I can remember gas being was my freshman year I believe, and in Seminole, Oklahoma it was .79 a gallon. Just thinking about it saddens me. I mean to think it will never go even close that price again, ever.Comment

$3.19 here. Which seems high, but if you follow eceonomic trends and rates of inflations since the 1970's, its actually gone up less that the standard market basket of goods.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

More importantly, how much MPG does your car get? Mine is pretty crappy. I get 18MPG city. Highway is 23 I think, not positive on that.Comment

Re: $80 a barrel.
maybe in europe or something. America lacks serious public transportation in almost every city. I've had to drive 45 minutes to my job before, and know people that have even longer drives.
Not buying gas is unrealistic. Even if you managed to not use a car to get to work, you'll still probably feel it if you buy gas to heat your home in the winter. If you somehow managed to miss both of those, electricity bills will cost more as a result of higher price of oil.Comment
