Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?

My new peeve is when somebody gets my attention and magically expects me to carry and mediate the conversation.

    Them: Hey whats up?
    Me: Nothing much whats good?
Them: Oh nothing just waiting for the bus
    Me: So.....
    Them: ..........

Why are you hitting me up with nothing to say????? Why????

When sports radio people say things like, "It's great to have a Super Bowl/World Series/NBA Finals with two traditional power houses, and not teams from (insert small market team here)."

A perfect example was the World Series this past year. I thought it was great when the Rangers and the Giants squared off, and not teams that I see on television ALL THE TIME.

Another one from a similar vein...

When my Bobcats play and beat a good team, but yet ESPN acts as if they don't exist, no highlights, no bottom line, nothing. Has happened so many times I have lost count.

I hate this so much. The draft where Seattle and Portland got the 1st two picks in the NBA draft I remember hearing how it was such a travesty and terrible that they got the picks instead of someone like NY.

I actually don't remember the last time I saw a Bobcats highlight with them winning against a good team . Guess that you have something in common with GIGGAS and his Jaguars.

Yeah I hate that. Or when I say what's up to someone or ask them what they are doing and they respond, nothing.

This post just made me think of one similar. When analysts say "He's a special player. He's just special." Has to be one of the most overused terms in sports.

Another one....when people want to continually be ignorant and make false statements because of that ignorance.

Just as a question, what would you prefer someone to say?

"He's a top five [position] in the league?" or something along those lines?

BnG I def share the same feelings. I HATE when people believe myths or just anything in general, and just ignore facts and still believe the false thing.

I hate when people use a phrase, but they don't even say it right thus proving that they probably don't even know what it means.

One of the most misconstrued phrases, "I couldn't care less." I usually see people saying "I could care less."

Man that irks me too, but it seems like EVERYONE says "could" instead of "couldn't" like it's officially been accepted. It's bugged me for years but I sound like a dick if I ever bring it up.

Random one. When people say they could care less...why don't they understand the error in this?

You COULDN'T care less. That is the correct phrase.
