School buses who turn on their yellow lights super early before they actually stop. I don't want to be an ******* and blow past one (oncoming) and get a fat ticket. I remember my old bus driver going crazy on drivers who did that.
But I stopped the other day anticipating the bus to come to a stop pretty shortly after turning on their lights, then looked like an idiot when they rolled way past me. In fact, 3-4 cars behind me got through too. Felt like I put those cars in danger by stopping short but I didn't want to go through the yellow-to-red school bus lights either.
The buses also pull off to the shoulder of the road for some reason. Wouldn't it be safer to block all cars behind you so they don't try to pass you in the opening of the lane now?NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Bus drivers are required to put their flashing yellow lights on (if the bus has them) several hundred feet before they stop if they're on a road with a higher speed limit. Just to be safe, you should always slow down, but by no means should you ever slam on your brakes to stop for the yellow lights on an approaching bus when they first turn on. That's putting yourself and the people behind you in danger. In pretty much all states, you are only required to stop if the bus is stopped and has whatever combo of red lights and stop arms on (or kids are still clearing the road/shoulder, obviously).Comment

We hit Aldis every week for certain items.
Never any issues. We have our own bags and are in and out within 1/2 hour.
As for Ebay: You can select certain requirements for who can bid on your stuff.

When feeling real tired at an early time on a day like today(meaning an off day/weekend tomorrow), so I decide to hold off on whatever I was planning on doing later tonight and just do it tomorrow since I'll probably wake up earlier and use that "refreshed extra time" to get stuff done. The problem though... I end up somehow waking up the same time the next day as I would've, had I gone to sleep my usual few hours later time, so it feels like "wasted time" since I didn't do what I was planning on doing, and I didn't gain any extra time the following day by going to bed earlier.Comment

eBay is annoying me right now because of the people who don't leave feedback. I ship your item within an hour of your payment 90% of the time (I list 2 business days just in case I get busy but I usually send it the day of, next at the latest), and I send messages 48 hours after they receive it if they haven't left feedback, just to make sure it's what they wanted. One guy has a 6000. Seriously, people take the time to give you feedback and you can't return the favor? It takes me all of 30 seconds to write "Quick payment." or "Quick shipping, item as described." Anything!
And I used to go to Aldi somtimes back when I was in college and just needed a few things because it was close to campus. I never had a good opinion of it. I was a little leary of several things I got there. I remember some stale Pringles, stale cereal, poor quality meat, odd-tasting frozen food one time. Not bad pricing, but it was not worth it to save a few bucks. Just too many instances of "I'm not sure if I really should keep eating this." Once I got used to going to an Acme that was near me, I'd go there or Walmart over Aldi every time.Comment

Uhh, that's not bad at all. You lost about 12.4% of your asking price. eBay and Paypal will take 12.9% + 30 cents for a transaction. Price of getting something in front of a large audience. You could ask more on Craigslist, but then you'd be dealing with that or very few people interested. Reminds me I need to post some junk I want to get rid of. I might try one of those new apps like letgo. Not sure how good they are.
StubHub is the real ripoff. My friend and I had to cancel our trip to Chicago this weekend because he had to work last minute due to a jerk-of-a-boss. So I put our race tickets up for sale. I still haven't gotten rid of the Sunday tickets that I paid $324 for. I have them up right now for $100 each just hoping to get something and I'll have to drop them again tonight I think. StubHub takes 10% from my cut, so I'll keep $90 for each. But on top of that, the buyer won't pay $100 for it. They'll pay $120.50. So they charge the buyer a 20% premium. They charge me a 10% fee. Those *******s make out like bandits! All just to move tickets from one person to another.Comment
