I don't know what eBay's standard wait time is, but I know it's longer than 2 days before you can file a case for the buyer not paying. And if others were bidding, you should be able to second chance it to someone who is still interested.
I know I'm probably a little impatient. I usually am a little more patient, but this smelled like a scam or whatever from the beginning. Although I can't figure out what kind of scam this could be just to bid and win something with no intention of paying.

Because of the somewhat shady nature of all his bids and his low feedback that's why I decided to message him after almost 2 days. I don't think I was being unreasonable though. I just wanted to see if he intends to pay. And still no response.

Ebay says I can open a case tomorrow night. So I guess I just have to wait. It's just frustrating for a couple reasons, 1, I always pay right away when I win an auction, But I totally understand that not everyone does that and isn't required to. And 2, I need the money.

So yeah, I can be impatient sometimes, but I think in this case my concern is warranted. It just sucks now because if he doesn't pay I have to wait for ebay to do their thing then relist it and wait another 5 days to sell it and it may not even sell for as much.

Edit: I could do the second chance offer thing. But I've never done that and not even sure how it works. But definitely something I will keep in mind.

Also, what I should have done was make in a note in the description that if your feedback score is lower than 10 to message me before bidding. And also require payment within 3 days. I've seen a lot of people do this with higher value items. I buy and sell some high priced sports cards, and I see that a lot with those.

Guys,.....some of the "store brand" stuff is the exact same product as the "high end" product.
It's called private labeling and the manufacturer simply puts a store label on their product for the food chains(for a cut of course).

Exactly, the name brand stuff, you're not paying for a better product. You're paying for the exact same product, you're just paying more for the name.

                  Absolutely.

One way to sometimes tell is the location that it is made.
It is usually on the label(s).
If it's the same location for the same product. Good chance it's a private label made by the brand name product.

In this day and age....there is probably a database out there somewhere.

Not Rite-Aid brand flexible fabric bandages. They stick for about 20 seconds before falling off. I have nearly 2 boxes of them in my medicine cabinet, but when I got a bad cut on my finger back in June (glass I was washing broke), I had to go to CVS and get the name brand Johnson & Johnson band aid tough strips which which stick for hours even when I'm sweating or after washing my hands.

Rite Aid chocolate chip cookies, on the other hand, are exactly the same as Nabisco chips ahoy and maybe even slightly better.

I don't put ketchup on anything at all. I'm 100% BBQ sauce type of guy. Even when I get fast food or food from Chili's that serve fries, I don't put ketchup on my fries at all. I would rather eat them plain if I can't put BBQ sauce on them.

Cooking burgers, BBQ sauce. brats, polishes or hot links ? BBQ sauce. I was never a fan of ketchup. Growing up in Chicago, most fast food places in the city put mild sauce on fries, which is basically bbq sauce mixed with hot sauce.

Aldi is great. There's a few things I've bought that I didn't care for, but most of their products are really good.

I don't know if it's true because our Cosco can't sell alcohol but I've been told the Kirkland vodka they sell is Grey Goose.

Ha...yeah....they don't always go to the best or better companies(some just do not private label for a store either)....but someone is likely making that bandage for them.
Few large or chain retailers are in the manufacturing business as well.

But there are a lot of clunker private label products for sure.
