You know what really grinds my gears?
Friends that text you that they haven't seen you in a while, and miss hanging out but when you try to set up a date to do something they cancel on you. Then like clockwork they text you "Why do we never hang out anymore?"
Because you're never available. At this point I'm not even going to ask them anymore they need to be the ones to facilitate.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
To piggyback off of that ending relationships with friends simply by not being the one to facilitate/plan things. I hate always being the one to make plans to hang out or do something. When I stop then the whole thing stops. Its bittersweet.

You know what really grinds my gears?
People who didn't get hit by the snow talking about their weather and how they're not buried in snow.
How original!
On the flip side, we get it. You drank a lot since you were snowed in. That's pretty cool man!
I would've drank a good portion too, but I don't need to let everyone know about it. I wasn't home, actually in a warm weather climate, but didn't need to tell everyone the daily temps here either.
Nothing is anyone's own anymore. They can't just let it be and enjoy it. They have to boast about it or rub it in everyone else's face or take a hundred selfies with it. Take a moment to shut up and just be there.
I use social media too, and I know that's what it's for, to share experiences. But it's become more about sharing the experience then the actual experience. It's all so disingenuous.
I don't associate with this generation. Hell, I don't associate with the people at large. The general public sucks. Selfish, unaware, disrespectful idiots.Last edited by slickdtc; 01-25-2016, 12:18 PM.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

People complaining about the hype of the superbowl. It's very easy to avoid. You don't have to watch or listen to espn/nfl network/talk radio 24 hours a day if you don't want to hear it.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

It's a shame because they are cool individuals and we always have a great time when we get together but I think they just try to take on too many things at once, or are just people pleasers and can't say no to something.. even if they made prior plans.

Since when did it become the cool thing to brag about how drunk you got? This was really bad at my old workplace where there were a lot of younger aged adults (18-23) and every Monday the majority of them would be going on about how Hammered they got, and all the crazy things they did over the Weekend.
Who cares that you got obscenely drunk and slept with a variety of members of the opposite sex? This is both girls, and guys doing this; and my reaction to them was "Really, this is what's cool these days?"
I guess I was just raised by parents with antiquated values, but I was raised to value conscious decision making through responsible drinking, and respecting your body. Also the social media obsession is a bit much these days. It has just consumed so many people's lives to the point where they need to make sure they capture every big moment and upload it to Instagram, or Facebook it. It's just a new way of trying to brag, or show off. Especially the ones who are constantly posing in gym clothes, or no shirt after workouts; and claiming they are doing it for "motivation".
I rarely even use Social media these days because of this.Last edited by Feared; 01-25-2016, 05:59 PM.Minnesota Vikings
