I don't think I could ever work in a office at a real job. Or get married.

I'll probably end up doing both and hating it just like everyone else.

Well, we work in the same building a few halls away from one another but our only actual work interaction is when I bring her the weekly timesheets for my office I work with and when I need something FedEx'ed. We also normally only go to lunch together on Friday's since I play b-ball during my lunch break during the week and she does boot camp.

As far as the watching movies go, the majority of our movie watching comes with the understanding that it will either lead to sleep for the night or a nap. It usually takes us at least two sittings to get through a two-hour movie

I don't remember the last time I've watched the WWE, or pro wrestling in general.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

People you know call on your cell don't leave a message but immediately try you again to see if you will pick up and still never leave a message. Just leave a ****ing message and I will call you back.

I may do this to my mom because I know she has her phone around her, but it's likely she couldn't hear it or something. She is often just in the other room for a moment when it goes off, or it's in her purse when she's driving. I'm probably calling her right back from having just called me.

Now I'll just kind of go on the other end of this:

Frickin' everyone is on their Smartphones these days, right? Then why am I the flip phone person who doesn't get responses from people until after like 36 hours? Based on how often I see them on their phones, it should be more like 36 seconds. If you don't want to talk to me, just tell me (but normally it's for something like "You're going to want to respond to this" haha).

Also, my students, man... they'll send me an e-mail, and literally within ten seconds I may give them a response. Then two days go by (block schedule) and they'll come at me in class like, "Did you get my e-mail?" I go: "Yes... did you get mine that I sent to you right after you sent yours?" No accountability, I tell ya. And I know they can check their e-mail on their phones, the same ones they can't stay off in my class.

You're not the only one that doesn't get responses from people. My cousin literally lives with her phone in her hand. I mean if she is awake she never goes more then 5 minutes without checking it, but yet if I text her about something it will take her hours to respond to me. On the other hand if someone text me I respond ASAP because I hate knowing I haven't responded yet, although I can't respond right at that minute sometimes, but, I also don't know for hours my phone has gone off sometimes because I have it on silent most of the time and I set it down and forget to look at it for hours at a time.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

I'll admit to being a bad text responder.

I don't mean to do it but what happens is I'll see the banner of a text message that isn't time sensitive in a situation where I can't respond at the moment, but when I get time to actually type a response I've forgotten about the text all together.

An example would be like my wife texting me to just see how my day is going or something while I'm in the middle of something at work (whether it be a meeting or talking to one of my employees). I'm not really in a position to stop what I'm doing and respond in the moment.

Or another example would be someone texting me to say they will be late or not coming in while I'm driving into work. I"ll see the text but don't text while driving and by the time I get to work I forget to respond until far later (if at all) into the day when I get some time.

Same. I've gotten horrible at responding to text. I'm glad I just read this because it reminded me to respond to a couple texts lol.

When that thermos of coffee that you could just swear was basically empty tips over in your bag and you have a swimming pool's worth of coffee in you bag, dripping on the car seat or whatever. I think I may have a problem.

NBA refs. Just so much that angers me about their inconsistencies. Everyone has that one thing you could mention to rile them up. For me, it's NBA refs.

Somewhat similar to that... When about to drink something, thinking it's almost done so you need to tilt it more, but then while doing that you realize there's twice as much as you thought. That sudden surprise feeling, along with drink going all over face!

yeah, that whole haphazard grab for a half empty beverage only to realize all too late that it's near full drives me nuts. It's like you don't have time to adjust mid flight en route to your face, once you've gone for the swift grab n lift it's over
