It never ceases to amaze me just how commercialized, especially Christmas, the holidays have become.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Trying to get professional gmail account, but anything I can think of is taken.

Why'd they have to have that stupid rule where a period means nothing. So '[email protected]" is exact same as '[email protected]".

I'm against using numbers for obvious reasons, so gotta try and get as creative as I can while still making it professional.

Any suggestions? Best I can think of is "[email protected]" (using the period for styling purposes), or might a period in it be abit much?

I feel like making a professional gmail account is easy as hell, lol.

What’s wrong with using numbers in an email address?

I have to handle email addresses for the kids at school and now I add their graduation year on the end. Thinking of that. How about:

                    FirstName.LastName.OrganizationInitials@gmail

                    FirstLetter.LastName.OrganizationInitials@gmail

                    Or something within that convention.

No, I'm with you. That part of the post confused me as well.

I've never thought differently about candidates with numbers in their email address.

Try an underscore instead of a period.

That's how our email addresses at the Community College where I teach are made.

Yeah, my current one is FirstinitialLastnameBirthyear@isp

My old one (no longer valid) was AlleGator04@isp which was short for Allegheny College Gators class of 2004, but I was told it was too unprofessional sounding (though that's not the reason i ditched it).

I think using numbers in email addresses makes them more secure as it makes it harder for spammers to hit them.

Don't really have a preference on which one I use. Would it be better getting gmail or outlook for my new professional email? Just wanna see what others think if they were another company, employer or someone similar corresponding with that email address. GMail would either have a number or start with "[email protected]" while outlook would be "[email protected]".

Everyone I know rips on using numbers in email addresses. Even gamertags they rip on people who put numbers in them. And back in school, teachers told people it looks "more professional" using proper names and not ones with numbers in it. Just depends on what you're used to seeing I guess. Seeing something like "[email protected]" are types of formats I've always been told to avoid.
