Anytime I flip to ESPN, it's just people yelling at each other. No thanks.

I never really believed those people who said they were done watching ESPN. If you wanted to watch sports or sports programming, you had to watch ESPN.

But it’s been years since I’ve willingly flipped over to SportsCenter. The league networks satisfy my cravings. I’ll take NFL, MLB, NHL Network over ESPN any day.

        NFL - Buffalo Bills
        MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Yeah the only time ESPN is on at my house is when I'm watching sports on it (MLB, college football, college basketball, etc...)

I do not watch any of their shows and have quit tuning into Baseball Tonight and Sportscenter. I watch the MLB Network for all my baseball news (as well as read the internet) and as for highlight shows, I really don't care to see that, I'll again just check out the web for that information.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I personally am upset ESPN removed the Facebook comment section from their articles. Sometimes they were funny, most times entertaining to see people flame each other.

Many years ago they had their own message boards. It was actually my favorite board to post on. Still haven't filled the void that losing it left

One I remember was after an article that Reggie Bush had received a huge settlement from hurting his knee off a stadiums concrete floor....a comment read "Do you have a structured settlement and need cash now? Call J.G.Wentworth! 877-CASH-NOW"

                I laughed way too hard.

I used to hate Dan LeBatard because 2 years after leaving the Dolphins, Dan was still giving Nick Saban a hard time for the way he handled leaving.
But time heals all wounds & once LeBatard's dad joined, he made his son more tolerable.

I never understood why they got rid of the message boards. ESPN hasn't been the same since they removed them.

I used to like browsing around the various boards to either read a sports related discussion or some funny trolling.

Thats nothin. The other night i was taking my dogs out, and i usually let them go onto the porch steps, but not off of it, until i am ready. (Its really dark out here in the country and with no fences, i dont want them off the porch until i put them in the fenced area. The last thing i need is for them to chase a rabbit into the woods. Or worse yet, Bigfoot or some other predator lurking in my yard) They know to do this, and its like clockwork. They never leave that bottom step.

But this night i opened the door and said "stay on the porch" like i normally do. They did, and as i was shutting the door behind me, i turned around and my heart sank. Because i didn't see the youngest one. And she is the darkest one, which makes it even worse. I called her name. But after a moment of fleeting panic, i realized i was holding her....

After thinking about it i should have probably kept this story to myself. I need to find the Delete post button....

Yeah i mentioned Amazon Prime Day to my wife last night and she just groaned. It was crap last year. Same with Christmas time lightning deals. It actually used to be good, but the last year or two has been a pure waste of time.
